Hoping to find a coaching job, and looking for some nice resume template or examples of some that you have used. Coached for the last nine years, but new coach came in and not retained. any help would be appreciated.

I like the idea of giving kids free sport gear. For example instead of them paying for the usual t shirt and shorts at the beginning of the year they would get them for free. I dont like the idea that some programs give different t-shirts for them reaching these goals. We are striving for unity, and them wearing different shirts doesnt do that job.

We just finished our off season and was wondering what some of you do to make leaders out of players that arent natural leaders. Ive heard of programs where players are drafted by their teammates and they have to keep track of what they do during the off-season. They would get points for doing positve things, such as honor roll, running track, or increasing their squat. Does anybody do anything like this and does it work?

I know i should just try to google some information, but with the wealth of knowledge on this board, someone will know where to find it. For the past few years i have been coaching the jumpers, but now ive been asked to coach hurdlers. any info will be appreciated.

i compare it to what i do in my classroom. i let the kids get quiet and never yell. but when i raise my voice it makes an impression. same thing on the field. im not a yeller, screamer, or cuss, but when i do it makes a point.
