I help coach for a non-profit youth football organization and we are currently trying to purchase field equipment, dummies, and tackling wheels. We are trying to use a safer way to practice to limit injuries and help us teach fundamentals. We have very limited funding and I suggested to build our own Chutes out of PVC instead of spending hundreds of dollars purchasing them so we can use that money on other equipment and stretch our budget farther.
So I have been tasked with building 2 2man chutes for the upcoming season. One for our freshmen/sophomore group of ages 5-9 and the other for our JV/varsity groups of the ages 10-14. I am looking for suggestions on the dimensions of the chutes. I have found some youth ones online that you can purchase with dimensions listed that I was going to use for reference. With the entry height H35" and exit H44", width W42", and Depth 50". I wasn't sure wich of the 2 groups I have listed these dimensions would be best for or if anyone has better suggestions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated for both age groups.
