That's what I thought and that season took a LOT of my passion for coaching away. If we'd have made the state championship i probably would have retired that year. Coach....that is just insane. It would be LESS stupid if you didn't also average 45 PPG. INSANE. Nope, it's never good enough... here is how it typically goes. if you are losing you should be winning if you're winning you should be winning more if you're winning a lot, you aren't winning by enough if you're blowing everyone out you're not winning the right way... the right style, with the right kids etc. Even if you're winning state, it will never be good enough for some.

This was a few years ago and the regular season, right before the first conference game, but we literally did not practice the entire week, just lifted and a little conditioning/agility work. We were all a little worried about doing this but we were beat up and didnt want to get anyone hurt, week of the game,we had the best week of practice and played our best game.

baseball staff a couple of years ago, somebody had a fake twitter account trashing the baseball team and coaches relentlessly, insider stuff, kind of things only somebody on the team would know so the head coach gets the guys together and says hey guys we're having a secret meeting and I don't want to be recorded, everybody put your phones in this box......soon as they hall all of the phones one of the assistants pulls out his phone and replies to one of the fake accounts tweets lo and behold disgruntled "howcome I'm not the short stop" johnny's phone lights up busted That's pretty awesome.

If a JR is playing JV, then in 99/100 Programs, he is not a good player and wouldnt hurt the other team. If you are playing a good player on JV then you have other issues in your own head, and your program. I dont see any cons, if the kid is just an OK player that will never play his JR but might his SR year, let him get some reps. Westlake in TX is so big that almost all of their JRs play on the JV team. But I think they have 4 teams. Pretty sure they have 5 heck maybe 6
