We have some Rawlings SRG Spartan shoulder pads that use the belt buckle type strap to tighten. Over time the metal holes have bent/rusted and are showing some wear. Some pads are just missing the strap entirely. Does anyone have a lead on where replacements could be found. All types of things for elastic with t-hook, but not finding anything on these. Thank you in advance.

NoHuddle app WAS decent. Now it's very crashy and glitchy. Great for a while, but then it's like they quit caring.

The Michael Strahan brand @ JCPenny. I can't speak for many of their things but I purchased a short sleeve hoodie sweatshirt for CHEAP!!! It is one of the most comfortable things I wear.
I am a big fan of the Russell wear as well. Shorts, shirts, 3/4 tights....I don't like how they seem to put a hood on anything long sleeved, but the cloth is usually under $10 per piece. I'm a big guy and I swear by their 3x shirts. Fit me better than anything else. I feel their shorts/pants run large. I can get away with a XL in those for some reason. While you're at Walmart getting those, go over to the camping section and get an Ozark Trail mug too. Just as good as a Yeti and worth the $8 investment.

Nelson Agholor Eagles WR sat out a bunch of games 2 years ago for performance anxiety, never heard that in my life We had an OT that had this. We were having a winning season and he started putting pressure on himself to preform. He'd start freaking out and then completely shut down to the point where he couldn't come out of a stance. Parents took him to a shrink and he had to lay there talking to him with his helmet on. Top 5 weird things I've seen in 19 years.

The O ain’t the problem...he obviously defended facemelter offenses giving up 120! Probably also because he isn’t running the D like Belichik, Saban, Don Brown or whatever other D guru... He said they were averaging 6 points a game. Definitely because they run the Wing T. They should go to some pistol spread with an H back like Auburn Hmmmm...we went this route this year. To this point 0-3 with under 100 total yards of offense the last 2 games. Defense has given up 40+ We do win special teams! QB got hit in first quarter of last game, 3 breaks and a dislocation of his non throwing wrist. JV also hasn't won a game. Defectors are starting to come. I miss the wing-t now. At least I had answers to things there and kids weren't scared to be in the backfield.

Now imagine having to play those kids on a Friday night.
"LB, line up as an outside shade on the guard."
"Which one is that?"
"That is the first lineman out from the center"
"The guy with the ball?"
"Yes. that is correct"
"So the center changes because they keep handing off to other people?"
Actual conversation week 6 of current season.

I believe that the MN Gophers are playing either classical/jazz music during stretch this spring ball. Supposed to help them switch mode to get focused on practice and de-compress from the day.

We lost a hard fought game last night in the first round of the playoffs last night. Down by 2, with 30 seconds left, they stopped us on a 4th and 2 from the 5. The HC said to go for it and the back was stopped short. (A field goal was not an option). After the game an irate parent was dropping f bombs out loud at the coaches and yelling at the principal to fire the whole f*ing lot of us. The father was our QBs dad. He had to be restrained by his kid from coming at us while we were walking off the field. We are a 3-6 team in a program that has historically been a .500 team at our very best. This guy was one who led the charge to get the last OC to leave and he got a few other parents to yell with him.
It’s not so much that they complained, it’s how they did it out in front of the kids and belittled the whole program in front of students, other parents, and our opponents players/fans/families. It was embarrassing to see that kind of over the top poor sportsmanship after a game that was exciting to play in and coach in. I’m still sick to my stomach thinking about it all.
We did get some support from other parents today who were just as embarrassed. These clowns wonder why we loose kids to private schools. It will be interesting to see what the new AD will do. They last one was buddies with the guy and let it all happen.

I have gone with the Adidas pants. Light, airy, and sit well. This year I'm going to go with some Duluth Trading Company khaki shorts. Heavier material, but still breathe, repel water pretty well, and have the flex fit to expand when necessary. I have those in pants too, but I try to stay in shorts as long as I can in Minnesota.

I got a pair of boombahs and took them to a camp last week. Got some major blisters on my toes. Look good but not a great fit for my feet.

That's not nearly facemelter enough. You need to have your wristbands on, your color coded laminated call sheet clipped to your belt loop, your fingers taped, a different colored neon tight sleeve on each arm, a towel hanging out of your back pocket, and your man bun hanging out of your visor. Anything else I'm missing? A visor.... Woah woah woah there..... don't knock the visor.

I'm a runner as well, and really like the support that Brooks shoes offer. I run in Ghost 9's which are great on my bad knees. Thinking about getting a pair for casual wear/being on the field because they're so comfortable. As a bonus the Ghost 10s just came out so some places are selling the 9s pretty reasonably. I wear Brooks Beasts currently. Im a bigger guy and beat the crap out of them, but they do a decent job. I want to look at those memory foam Sketchers too.

With summer stuff going full on now and even some states starting HS football at the end if July, im looking for some comfy shoes for coaching. Shoes or insoles, whatever....what have people found that their feet dont hurt after being on them for hours at a time and can hold up to the dirt, grass, dew, rain, etc that coaches experience.

Aug 14th in MN begins. Can have 11 practices over the summer not counting 7-7, team meetings, and wt room. 4 in pads. A multi team scrimmage can be had the end of the 2nd week and then games for the next 7.5 weeks. State finals are the weekend of Thanksgiving.

I just took over as OC and even though the scheme is similar, theres new verbage, formations, etc. I've meet with the OL and WR coaches to begin the transition. We met once a week since the clinic season ended (4-5 times). We have a weekend trip to one coaches cabin in April where we begin to plan things out as a staff. I'll meet with the HC and JV coaches to plan out more things here in the next few weeks. In Minnesota we can have 11 days of "practice" in June & July (not counting 7-7, lifting, and meetings). In pads for a few of them and end with a team camp. No contact with athletes from Aug 1 til official start of season. Staff will meet one more time in that window to finalize any things we need to fix.

I'm a new hire OC who has been on the coaching staff for 14 years. In my history, the middle school has never been on the same page as the high school program. That is now changing with me in this role. I have ms coaches that are on board with helping the program. We will get 25-30 kids out per grade if it's a good year. Many don't have extensive football knowledge. We are a hybrid wing t hs program. Charting out a wish list I have 5 runs, 2 play action, and quick passes for 7th and one more of each for 8th. These kids will not begin to practice until the 2nd day of school and play their first game after 5-7 practices. Thoughts or ideas on what I should go into the meeting with the MS coaches on what is reasonable that the kids should be able to do when they leave for the HS?

Those arent totally out of the question. I know i want to coach as many kids i can in the time that i have at any level. Having the other varsity coaches around will make JV/soph feel like they are valued as well. My guys questioned their role when we were sent off to do our own thjng while the varsity guys got coached.
Where in your practices do your non-varsity guys get the reps they need to compete in their games? We wont have a jv staff. Usually just 2 guys, 1 O and one D. Scrimmage frosh one day a week.

JV and Var share staff. We tried it when O vs scout D the D coaches work with JV/soph parts and vice versa. But then coaches seem to disappear and it's one guy trying to fun all the JV o and D.

Like many teams, we feel there isnt much depth and the drop off between our 1s and 2s isnt making things competitive consistently. We want to get more bodies involved so we can build the depth while being sure our 1s are getting the work in they need to feel comfortable with the weekly gameplan.
And we want the jv/soph to have time to learn and be coached as well. I dont want it to be we are a varsity team and send parts to play jv games. Am i wrong to think that is how it cant be?

Dont feel like its the beat way to get things done. Always seems to be kids standing round not doing something football related. We havent had much success at our school and want to change practice along with the culture.

Odd front def. 3-4. Maybe some 3-3 stack Im taking over as OC, we have had success with wing t and hybrid wing t. I want to have a sound run game, ball control offense with play action passes. We are just wanting to see how other schools organize practices. So we can be efficient with time. Weve done the same set up for a long time and realize we need to change.

Our staff is looking at changing up practice and I am hoping the followers on this site can help me out. We are looking to find out how other teams practice. I'm wanting to collect practice plans so we can find ways to better use our time in practice but still get the reps we need to have success. Post, PM, or email would work.

Anything you can help out with would be welcome. Our info. We are a school of 1200 with low FB numbers (60 for grades 10-12 on good years). Several kids have to play both ways, so not true platoon.

We try to give a "Big Dawg" shirt every week to our best performing linemen. Sometimes they all get one. Usually 1-2 guys. Sometimes none. Front says Warrior Football. Back says Big Dawg. We also give out Big Hit t's and Hustle t's.

Going over Def allignment. Started talking about what we call our LB's (Mike, Will and Sam). A few kids started looking around and I asked what was wrong. "I don't know who Mike, Will, and Sam are. I just see Adam, Freddy, and Nando standing where the linebackers are."

I helped out in the Mlps Clinic a few years ago. I didn't really see any scouts, but they did get an account with rivals. There were some legit D1 kids there, but most of that small group had made up their mind on where they were going. I do agree that not all the best kids go. In the upper midwest the kids are spread out over 6 states so the top notch talent wasn't there. Example. One of the "top" DB's at the camp wasn't even an all conference player in our conference. It was fun to hear the coaching from the ex-NFL guys and from the stuff I saw if was little things that could be used at all levels. I wouldn't recommend this for middle school kids to sophomores, it wouldn't be worth it for them. As to its overall value.....meh, I don't know how much it would help a kid get ready for the next level. Low point for me when there was a big name blue chip player there and he didn't participate in any drills or any part of the camp. They just took his photo, did an interview pimping the camp and we never saw him again. Maybe he was helping his dad with a rap album.
