Coach Option1, 1. Meeting-detailing your expectations, requirements, and your overall vision of the program...in that meeting include your expectations for weight room attendance, schedule, required lifts etc... 2. Get after it!!!!

Coach Vicvinegar, The thread is discussing splitting the staff for programs that don't have the numbers to two platoon, for example our Varsity had 20 players and our JV had 18 (We are a school of 270 9-12). The idea is your staff becomes specialized in specific area so that teaching is consistent from Varsity down to JV. The kids get more individualized attention to their position and are not fighting for reps with a mix of jv and varsity kids together. For example, on Monday I have the JV kids working strictly on defense while the Varsity kids are working offense...then on Tuesday the kids flip.
Hope this helps clear it up, Bob

Coach I am assuming you are running jet or rocket motion? If so do you think you could run FB trap opposite your motion? I understand that kid is in a 1 tech but if you down blocked him with your guard and FBI with your tackle and possible te? Another option might be running a qb keep away from your motion with the old school offtackle trap blocking?

Hello Coaches, I have been coaching close to 22 years. In that time have been a JV assistant all the way up to a Head Coach of a program
I have been in wishbone, spread, wing-t/full t (spent most of my career in this), splitback veer, fly, and currently double wing.
Defensively, mostly 5-2, but also 4-4,and 4-3
