They promote themselves as non-profit and do not offer scholarships as well.

First questions have you heard of them (SMAC, HJCAC)? Second questions what do you think about them for players? Third questions what do you think about coaching for a team in the league?

Coaches, What criteria do you use to evaluate your players at the end of the season? What kind of form or template do you use to do this? The win loss column That works in most cases, but not all. Example because of numbers I am basically starting a good JV team vs Varsity teams all season.

Up to this date the most given up this season is 63 for the game and 28 in a quarter. However you still have the 7 and 8 rank teams in the state to play the next two weeks. This years team is the youngest varsity team I have coached starting 3 freshman, 3 sophomores, 2 juniors and 3 seniors on defense.

Has any one had an issue with trading film? Suggest as, has a coach send film for exchange on Monday night of the week you play them?

At my previous school we started practice at 4 and have the baseball and track guys come when they were done. At my new school we are going to start at 5 and basically the same have them come after the other practices.

The wider issue (which the article mentioned but didn't expand) is that they/we are addicted to ours phones and social media. I know it is blowing it out of proportion but we wouldn't give breaks to serve a different addiction (gambling break, smoking break, alcohol consumption break, drug break) etc etc. What I would have respected is some kind of announcement on how they plan to tackle cell phone/social media addiction. I am probably a little older than you, but I do remember when people use to take smoke breaks and it was ok.

Unfortunately it is happening in a lot of industries, when there are long meetings or even durning conferences as soon as there is a break everyone pulls out their phones. Heck I see guys at coaching clinic pull out their phones as soon as the walk out of the room. He is just calling it what it is, but I do feel if you can't sit in a meet for at least an hour without looking at or thinking about your phone you do have problem.

Arizona is combined, which is big problem here for smaller class schools. The majority of Arizona is a rural state, with a large part being reservations (which is more rural, than rural). Not only are the privates a problem, but these Charters and Prep Academy's are popping up on the street corners in Phoenix and the suburbs. They draw kids from underachieving (academic and athletic) 6A or 5A schools, the kids that for some reason can't go to (open enrollment), the top notch 6A or 5A's. So a community of under 5,000 ("dried" up mining town, or reservation) are competing against the 5th largest metropolitan area in the country. It is also hard for the Southern Az schools to compete with the Phoenix schools as well..

In previous years we did a leadership training. However I like the idea of teach kids how to write a resume, apply for a job, manners, and how to handle social media. These are skills they are not getting at home and they are not regularly taught in school and it should be.

I would go for the WIN. Because if you are winning with not scholarships, you a doing one heck of a coaching job and have best type of players, the kind that are coachable and play for the love of the game.

In Arizona it is 42. One year we were down by the end of the 1st quarter, 2nd quarter neither team scored. Came out after half scored twice it was under 42, so regular clock rules. By the start of 4th quarter it was even closer end up losing by 20.

Maybe all the kids playing JC in Phoenix and Tucson this year can go there, because they are canceling the JC programs at the end of the season.
