Not going to lie, I've had this exact thought 100 times over the years. Would love to make it work but too many roadblocks stand in the way of it.

Already booked, paid for, and a done deal for the wife and I to attend the AFCA in Nashville, TN... pvogel is trying to get me to put together the money to come stay with him for the Tampa Glazier though... don't know if I can afford 2 cross-country trips in one clinic season... we'll see. Pony up son! Taking the Mrs on one so you gotta fly solo for the other! Can't beat Tampa in March. Cigars on me. I got a guy. I'll definitely be at Glaziers in Tampa, Orlando, and Northern New Jersey. May add more, with Atlanta being the best possibility. Would love meeting up and shooting the bull with any of yall. Man that's my dream schedule to hit all those clinics in one season. Maybe one day...

What about Montverde Academy and Findlay Prep? Not 100% sure if those fit the bill but I have heard many compare those two schools to IMG in terms of how they run their day-to-day operations.

NFHS Network can be a great resource. I know of a few FL teams that broadcast like every game on there. Get lucky and you can watch film whenever you want on the opponent - no need to wait for them to share some with you.

Now that I think about it, the same could really be said for emails as well. Unrecognizable address usually means something instantly goes to spam folder. Well, if you have worked with a business in the past, you should already have their info on file. For new businesses, what about walking in personally and meeting with the person that makes those types of decisions?

District games are 5 mins, 20 mins and 30 mins. In 2016 we are only doing the 5 minute trip.
Non-district games vary by season.

Im convinced that if more people watched Rocky III they would talk less trash before competitions. Or Ronda Rousey from her last fight.

I liked a couple concepts Northwestern ran, although obviously the game as a whole didn't go well for them. I watch Baylor pretty closely all season, but I really wish I had DVRed that game once I got home that night and saw the stats! I agree with the sentiments on Harbaugh too. I'm not an I formation guy, but his thoughts on overall program management would be good to discuss! Here you go:

Baylor, Houston and that one play Callaway ran for Florida where he had the TD.

Several different books that were recommended on here in various threads. Can't remember exactly right now all of them but there were Bowden, Jon Gordon, Dungy (the 365 challenge), Haywood and a few others.
The biggest thing I wanted on my list that I didn't get is the last three holes on my new team's schedule to be filled! Oh well. Perhaps it will be a birthday present (birthday's in exactly one month).

Call IMG Academy. They have international players and I'm sure would at least look at some film on him.

One coach I know is playing with the idea of just doing a Cancer Awareness night next year. Recognize all the cancers out there.
Really like the aforementioned idea of making the players earn the chance to wear pink accessories and buy them from a company that donates money to those funds.

20 days of activities with one (or two) of those days being your spring contest(s). Here are your game options: Option 1: 4 Quarters vs. Team B Option 2: Spring Jamboree where you play like a half vs. Team B and like a half vs. Team C Option 3: Participate in a game where the refs are there to train/refresh themselves of the rules Option 4: Choose either Option 1 or 2 as well as Option 3. And then of course some just scrimmage themselves like the college fellas do.

If those are the options - I'll take a pair of scrimmages.
Love the Florida spring ball though.

Somewhat related: After Bergen Catholic (NJ) defeated St. Edward (OH), they told the SE coaches on something major they picked up on by watching film.
SE's quarterback's "feet were staggered on passes and they were squared on runs,” St. Edward coach Rick Finotti said to NationalHSFootball.com in 2014. “It was a really classy move for them to let us know so that we could get it rectified."
After the game, SE won its next 10 games including the state championship.
BC head coach Nunzio Campanile noted that their LB coach, Ed Van Curen, noticed it on film and told the rest of the staff that the QB was parallel on passes and offset on runs. Watched for it during pregame drills and it was true. Would then give their guys on defense a heads up throughout the game on what to expect.

Umm .... what did I just read? Exactly what you think you just read Gotta give an explanation of the makeup wearing thing because I have NEVER heard of that before. And I've heard about many homecoming activities.

When I played we weren't originally going to be allowed to participate with the backwards homecoming festivities (powder puff football, drag queen court basically). But we begged coach because half of the court were football players, and I won so I'm glad he let us. The real honest punishment was having to practice with all that makeup on. It was terrible. Umm .... what did I just read?

Sounds like your school may have to pull a Texas and fire the AD this early in the season.
By your account, he was more concerned about the other team than his own. Not too mention he forgot the refs.

At least y'all got the win!
And the kids got a cool experience too. Not many can say they played a real game of high school football at 2 in the morning!

Gotta admit that when I agreed to coach middle school soccer last year as an assistant I was perplexed when I was told we don't get any timeouts.

I have no experience with it but to answer the above question, I have seen teams put both school names as team name. So Joe Smith would attend Shelbyville and play for the Shelbyville/Springfield team. Not sure how they deicide on mascot names.

Hey Guys,
I know it's not clinic season, but this following question got me thinking today about the various coaches clinics that will be taking place this winter.
I know all about Glazier, Nike and the ones at colleges, but do any top high schools put on clinics? (Not counting any by the state associations) I'm in Florida but open to just about anywhere. If I do make it out to clinics this year, I'm thinking about doing 1-2 around here and then going to a new destination for another.

There's lots of stuff laying around in the back closets of folks here, the problem is going to be getting it into the container. That's the biggest issue of them all. Shoot, you could call around to those play it again stores and buy up their inventory but the shipping costs would be pretty high.

Not sure what the shipping costs would be but I know this site has a classifieds section that has a fellow user offering up about 100 helmets for sale.
Also, the South Carolina association site (www.schsl.org/bullet.htm) has a long list of equipment for sale including headsets, helmets, football socks, end zone cameras and some weight room pieces.
