I'd like to upgrade our revo speeds to flexes this year. Can you legally sell older helmets to help defray the cost of buying the newer ones?

Looks like we're going 2 subdivisions, 5 in one division and 6 in the other. We have 2 crossover games that don't count toward divisional standings. Week 8 is when #1s from both divisions play each other, #2s play each other, and so on. Our district gets four playoff spots, so when you get to 4s playing 4s and below, their season is done after that game. The last place team doesn't play in week 8.

Just had a meeting with our AD. Another team is joining our conference to make us an 11 team conference. We can only play 9 games before the playoffs, so the conference is trying to come up with solutions to this problem. Does anybody have any experience dealing with something like this? One solution is that 2 teams wouldn't play each other that year, but what do you do to determine who skips who? Do you create subdivisions? Our conference gets 4 teams into the playoffs, and from a geographic standpoint, the 4 best teams are traditionally from the same geographical area (our conference from a bus standpoint is huge--7 hour bus ride 1 way for our furthest game). Would love to hear some ideas/thoughts. Thanks!

There's no padded spring ball. You have a week of "spring ball" in t-shirt and shorts. In the larger areas, there are passing leagues and tournaments, but not to the extent of California. The better programs are ran just like anywhere else: off-season and summer workouts, camps, etc. In the Boise area and other larger towns (Pocatello, Twin Falls, Idaho Falls) you're starting to see more specialization and fewer multi-sport athletes (just like the rest of the country). In the rural areas you still have your 3 sport athletes, which having coached at both big and small schools, I like having almost all of your athletes multi-sport kids (IDK, maybe I'm just getting old).

In terms of salary, Wyoming is the place to be. Great pay and retirement. The negative is you have to live in Wyoming. Idaho is easier on the eyes but the salary will leave you wanting more--as in more $. With that said, you're out of the rat race in both areas.

We have a rare Saturday evening game this week. Want to do a spaghetti feed for the kids. My question is what time should they eat for a 7 pm game?

Anyone use these? Pros-Cons? The price is right, but is it a quality helmet?

Mondays are our jv game days, and most of our games on Saturdays, so we have 4 days to get ready for the next opponent. I'm leaning towards making Tuesday defensive emphasis, Wednesday offensive emphasis, Thursday combine o and d, Friday pre game practice. I do like having the first 30 minutes as an individual of the opposite emphasis (offensive indo on Tuesday), but we will probably do offense every day since we're going to be a heavy option team. Thanks for the input fellas!

Coaching at a tiny rural school. Will have roughly 25 guys out (not bad for 8 man) and was contemplating going all offense on Tuesday all defense on Wednesday, then both on Thursday. Any thoughts? I see validity in concentrating on a specific skill/scheme during a single practice, but there's another part of me that wants to rep both o and d on the same day. For those that have been in a similar situation where you have a bunch of 2 way players, what have you found to work best?

Getting ready to order some new gear and came across Alleson. Anyone have any experience with their products (namely 7 pad girdles)? Their price point seems reasonable; just wondering if anyone has anything good/bad to say about their gear. Thanks.
