I don't mind film until the offense walks out done meeting after we have only broke down 2 films. Drawing cards sucks. Most people think DC stands for Defensive Coordinator. It doesn't. It stands for Draws Cards. This made me laugh too hard. You hit the nail on the head. Draws Cards hahaha

What in the world do you do there for 12 hours after spending 4 hours there on Saturday? I forgot to mention that I do Sundays from home in my office. But I do all film breakdown, scout cards, and game planning in those 12 hours.

M-W: about 7 Thursday: between 9-10 if we have our "Walk-thru" after the underclassmen play. Sometimes we can get it done during our football class so I get home about 6 on those days. Friday: between 1-2 AM (which is technically Saturday haha) Saturday: gone from 8-12 Sunday: work from 12-12 with one break for dinner Noon to midnight? yes

The "Wife" thread on the Career board is turning to the question of the time that coaches are gone from home. That made me curious so I'll ask: What time do you get home from practice? How much time do you spend away from home? Assuming a Friday game here's my schedule: M-TH: Get home at about 7. Friday: 11 Saturday: Unless we have a game to scout, no organized staff activities. Sunday: Staff meeting 5-approximately 8. M-W: about 7 Thursday: between 9-10 if we have our "Walk-thru" after the underclassmen play. Sometimes we can get it done during our football class so I get home about 6 on those days. Friday: between 1-2 AM (which is technically Saturday haha) Saturday: gone from 8-12 Sunday: work from 12-12 with one break for dinner

Thanks for the ideas; the sickle drill sounds funny.
We'll have about 150 little dudes running around by the way.
Organizing it all and making it all flow smoothly is the tough part.

Hey guys, just looking for some new ideas on running a youth camp. Our HC has asked for help organizing and running a 3-day youth camp for kids ranging in age from 7-14. Our athletes will be helping run the drills and activities, etc. We have some individual position drills and work planned. We also do obstacle courses and relay races and punt/pass/kick.
What are some other fun things you guys have done for youth camps that made them fun and active?
Thanks in advance.
