This is directed to all of those who are able to have spring practice at the high school level. First of all are there any states that do not allow spring practice for high school? Secondly, what is your primary focus during spring ball?

I am not sure if this is the right place for this or if I will even get a response but will post anyway. Can anyone tell me a little about the X's & O's Lab Reports? Are they worth the money?

I do not know if this topic has been discussed but if not i would like feed back if possible. For those of you that have spring ball, what do you look to accompolish? Is your primary purpose to teach fundamentals, techniques, or installation of your offense and defense?

We too have a early version of Play Maker pro, but the problem I have come across is not with tranfering from Play maker to Word, but importing Word into the Play Maker. Has anyone had this same problem? Coach L

We are a base Odd Stack. We do adjust to a 44. I am just looking for ideas. The primary plays the team that uses these are Wing T plays. Buck Sweep, Trap, Belly, Fullback Trap, and Waggle. They will also run power.

Coaches, Could someone tell me how I can post formations from Play maker Pro on this site. I would like to know how some of you would align to the formations. We base out of a Stack and adjust to 4-4. Any help is appreciated. You will be explaining to a illiterate computer guy so please keep it in simple terms.

I don't know if there is a thread on fund raising, but if not can anyone give suggestions on what they do to raise money for their football program. We have sold Gold Cards, Pizza Hut Cards, and sponsorships for our program, but would like other ideas.
Thanks Coach L

We have a handbook that all players and parents sign at the beginning with all the rules in it , but I agree a letter to the parents as well is a good idea. Maybe we can get some insight from the board on what should be included in the letters.

The idea behind the letter, in my opinion is it would be more personable and maybe gain more interest. When I was a head coach, I always had a meeting but I don't think you reach all the guys. You always get the same old excuse, I forgot or I didn't know. I don't know maybe a letter isn't the answer, just shooting the idea around. Trying to do what ever it takes to get more players involved.

I do not know if this has been posted before, but I was interested to see how many coaches send out recruiting letters at the high school level. I was thinking about sending a letter to all the boys in our school and inviting them to sign up for football. I am not sure just what to put in the letter. I do not want it to long as many will not read it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Coach Tog, For me I would like to see a section on how to use the board. I know how to reply, but not how to start a new thread. I would like to know how to get started with trading even though I do not have much to trade, anything would help. I also would like to know how to send private emails. I have sent a couple but I just got lucky doing that. I guess anything that would make it easier for me to use this site. I think it is and outstanding tool for all of us coaches, and I want to beable to take total advantage of it. I hope this makes sense. Coach L

Brophy, I appreciate your wisdom and insight, but not your sarcasim. I am a Wing - T guy. I do have a plan in place but was looking for possibilities to add some spread to our Wing package. I am not the guru you are, just looking for suggestions. I will keep my requests to my self. If my ignorence offended any one else please forgive. I am out.

Coaches, I have the possibility of taking over the HC at a school that was primarily a running offense (option team), but I would like to implement the Spread and still keep some of the option they have been running. The purpose for the change is simple, I have been told they have two pretty good QB's returning that throw the ball fairly well. What would be the simpliest but most effective spread package to run? I would like any info on practicing procedures as well as teaching mechanics for the spread. What is the difference between the Tony Franklin, Air Raid, and West Virginia packages?
