I watched the opponent we beat last year for the State Semi Finals go to the State Championship game this year and just get embarrassed, by a team who is Very athletic, but we actually beat for our first ever State Championship a few years ago.
The thing that really upset me, beside the score, was the HC. In my opinion, he was beat before he ever even stepped on the field. His demeanor the whole game was terrible. Just stood there and never even tried to get his kids fired up or keep them positive. I don't care how bad things get, as the HC, you MUST stay positive to some degree. You owe it to the kids at least.
Done venting.....

Should have gotten rid of the "Cancer" sooner.
After we lost in the 2nd round, I went down south and watched a playoff game of a buddy of mine. The team he played had a new HC and had only won 1 game the season prior. The HC came in and cleaned house and as a result, had about 4-5 STARTERS as FRESHMAN!
Here are the positions: - QB - DE (already offered by Fla. State) - OL - DB
It can be done......

Congrats Coach! I second the advice about enjoying it and not jumping into next season too soon.
I look back now on our 14-0 season and realize HOW HARD doing that is and also, I wish we could have enjoyed it longer with the kids and coaches.

I just got back from the Baltimore Glazier Clinic. One thing I can't stand is, a speaker who doesn't have or won't allow the following: - No handouts - No email - Won't allow their presentation to be posted on Glazier website
Sorry, but this is wrong. Even though the information presented was useful, as always, you have questions the next day or so that never seem to get answered and as a result, you can't utilize certain things they presented.

One of my kids recv'd an invite as well. The cost of the game week is $399.99. This is includes all jerseys, pants, gear, meals, recruiting activities and seminars, recruiting preparation and activities (7 on 7 tourney/Lineman challenges) and activities around the city.
Doesn't sound legit if they have to pay...especially that amount of money!
Anyone else have experience or knowledge of this?
