In NC we were told if a student wanted to leave and go to a private school in the fall and come back and play with us in February, it would be allowable.

Hmmm, that is true Coach, I found them on Twitter under the clinic list. Where is this "clinic list" you speak of? Is there a Twitter account that posts college coaching clinic dates? @coachsmith67 has started a clinic list

Notre Dame- March 28-30 Iowa- March 29-30 I don't think those Notre Dame & Iowa dates are correct. March 30th is a Monday...never heard of a clinic that runs through Monday. Hmmm, that is true Coach, I found them on Twitter under the clinic list.

NC has a winter clinic in February we always go to. Have never done the Glazier, thinking about going to the Charlotte one this year. Will probably go to the USA Football Clinic in Orlando, FL. Also, we will hit a college or two up, we have been to Clemson and Georgia clinics the last two years.

School Name= Left School Mascot = Right Auburn Tigers (read from left to right) our gap scheme power left = Auburn our gap scheme power right= Tigers Did everything this way including protections. We do the same thing, just opposite, school name= right and school mascot = left, so we signal formation and play in by signals to all but the offensive line. The qb than tells the oline New York / Atlanta to run Atlanta (counter right).

I'm an oline guy and where I coach I don't say anything at all to the guys outside of the attitude etc. as mentioned before. Heck, I have a hard enough time watching all 5 linemen, let alone all the other guys as well.

I'm at a small 3A school in North Carolina. We wash all of the team issued gear ourselves. We have one washer and one dryer so most of the time after the jv play Thursday and varsity play Friday it takes a couple of days to get everything washed, dried and put away.

We had a kid who said he couldn't practice on Thursday (walk-thru) day because he gave blood that day. That was the straw that broke the camel's back and the hc sent him packing.

We have 11 coaches on staff. We have a 2 up and 5 down setup. The head coach who is also the dc wears one, our dline guy wears one and the linebacker coach who is in the box. On the offensive side, we have the oc, myself (oline) and wr coach and our qb coach who is in the box. On the offensive side unless needed the wr coach and I stay muted unless we are needed for something.

We have a navy set, gold set, white set and gray set that are all Nike. The navy ones are about 5 or 6 years old but holding up pretty well. The one issue we have is the v of the neck tearing on them. The white ones are 2 years old but look like they are about 5 years old, as mentioned very hard to keep clean. The gold sets are brand new and the gray set doesn't get pulled out very often so they are in great condition. We also have a camo jersey that is Rawlings I believe, we only wear it once a year so it is holding up well. Overall, the kids like the Nike uniforms, some complain about the pants being a little smaller than some of the other pants we have had.

I'm at a 3A school in North Carolina, a school of about 1,100 students. The coaches office used to be a glorified hallway connected to the weightroom, once we had about 5 coaches in there it was full. A few years ago they moved us into the old 3D lab right across from the weightroom. Because it was a old 3D lab it still has about 15 computers, the other half of the room is big enough to hold about 40 chairs with a ceiling mounted projector for film. Other than that we just have a few tables for meeting and a full size fridge. The kids must knock before coming in, but it is where we hang out on Thursday and Friday in season to watch movies and what not.

We meet before spring ball, before summer ball and before the official start. Like previously mentioned we have a lot of informal meetings after practice real quick or just one side of the ball. In season we meet if any issues arise. Other than that most of our upcoming opponent discussion is done via conference call on Sunday night.

Getting hungry is a rookie problem. An experienced OL coach will ALWAYS have food stashed somewhere. That is absolute truth! Yes sir, I will second that. I have my fridge in my office and it stays stocked with Gatorade, water and a soda or two and have snacks here and there in my office. I have kids always say now coach we know you have snacks in here. I say I do and they are for me because this is like my second home. LOL!!

What did Dabo have to say? Dabo spoke for about 30 minutes on Friday morning. His main points were: it is about building a program not championships, don't lose to Clemson, Best is the Standard B-Believe E-Effort S-Sense of Urgency T-Toughness, attitude of belief- you have to instill and create it, each day has a daily focus that stays the same each week, Windshield mentality- all about what is next the past is in the rear view mirror-take it one day... one mile at a time, you never know who is watching, prepare for you opportunity and keep watering the bamboo.

The staff I'm on attended the Clemson University clinic Thursday and Friday. Amazing facility that cost 55 million dollars to build. It features a bowling alley, putt put, wiffle ball field and a slide from floor 2 to floor 1. They had a lot of SC high school state championship coaches speak and a few of the Clemson position coaches than did breakout sessions until you were done asking questions. Oh yeah and the food was amazing featuring a low country boil after Friday's practice. Very highly recommended clinic
