Did you create a group for us to join? If so what is the name and password? The link takes you there. Yeah, but it's not intuitively obvious what to do when you get there...do I really want to create a new entry name/team? And if not, where is the Buddy List that Huey has created? My brain hurts...

1. Follow link. 2. Create CBS Sportsline ID if you don't already have one. 3. Create new entry. That should do it.

Took me second too. First when you click the link you need to register if you are not a member of CBS sports. When you register it will ask all your info. After I register I left the site( had to do something else). So when I clink the link again (through coachhueys thread) I just signed in and then you create new team and it will take you to the private league that coachhuey started. you can check your picks, make your picks, view who has signed up, etc... I hope that helped I am not that great at explaining things over the Internet. Took me so long to type this prez beat me to it. Man I need to take a typing class. ;D

Just a reminder- make sure you do the weighted section of the picks. I did not even realize it was there at first. I guess I will take second place. I think Jeff(geoff) the expert has first place locked up. IMO I dont think it is fair that a person with his expertise should be able to compete with us amateurs. OK one last thing. Picks need to be in by Weds. at 7pm (I think)

I'm attacking this competition the same way I did the 100 & 200 meter dashes in HS...don't finish in last place.

Interesting so far, favorites are 10 of 11 with the lone exception of Boise State losing to ECU. And in that case, it was the third largest spread of all 32 bowl games. FAU, UNM, and UTexas had three of the four lowest spreads but were all favored.

I did an experiment: I picked all the favorites and ranked their confidences in order of the spread--largest spread largest confidence, etc.
Other than accidentally clicking Navy instead of Utah (I picked it correctly in my Yahoo Pick'em), the favorites won 23/31 (with one to go). It equates to 386/527 with the potential for 10 points if LSU wins tonight.
Statistically, this equates to the 96th percentile in the Yahoo College Bowl Pick'em, and probably with the top six or seven of 43 total in the Coach Huey group.

theprez98 Are you a math teacher? But in all honesty that is a great experiment (I am a science teacher). I am kinda shocked by the outcome. It makes you think, are these things really that predictable. 23/31 is not a great percentage, but I guess with your confidence figured in it really adds up fast. Have you done anything like that before and what were the results?

Have you done anything like that before and what were the results? I'm not a teacher at all, but I enjoy doing such types of experiments. ;-) I ended up 24/32 and 94th percentile. 94th percentile was 20,329th, which means somewhere in the area of 370,000 people played. The #1 player in Yahoo Bowl Pick'em correctly picked 27 of 32 games, although a few people correctly picked 28 games (lower confidence points). I've done it before with NFL games this season, but there was no confidence system involved. I ended up in the 99th percentile, and finished 308th nationwide, 11 points out of first place.
