Sadly now days in many places that thought has trickled down to HS and many people wanting to keep up with the Jones because well because they do it this way or have this and that. People want a brand, hype videos, omnipresent coaches, social media presence...
Not even going to go in on HS coaches making over 100g to coach...

At a clinic I ran into an acquaintance who'd just been fired from a D.1 job. I commented that it's the nature of the business and he agreed. Just how it goes.

Another way I’ve heard it is: “Great Game sh!tty profession”. Both are 100% True. boss is closing on a reirement of a hundred plus.

I know we discuss the downside of the "business", but would we love coaching as much as we do if the pressure to perform didn't exist? Not picking a side, just thinking.
