Taking over a program with limited funds. The weight room, locker room and coaches' office has all been neglected...looking for a few ideas to get our ficikities a new look...

Never underestimate the effect of a fresh coat of paint and some simple decorations like posters, pictures, and banners.

I'm currently doing this at the program I just took over. We painted the locker room walls, moved and painted the lockers to give it a brand new feel, ripped the flooring up and are putting epoxy down in prep for the rubber flooring I want to put in after fundraising, and are adding vinyl decals from our in house print shop. This has all been done for no program money so far. We've been lucky in getting people to donate materials and we have done all the work ourselves.

Get the kids involved in any minor renovation/reorganization of things. We did this with a new weight room way back when - kids put down flooring, moved machines/benches/weights/etc., helped hang posters and stuff. It definitely helped the kids kind of take ownership of the space and make sure it stayed well maintained and such.
