I will be moving down to a new city full time and am looking to find a new school to coach at. I was fortunate enough to get my last job at my alma mater from my coach from my playing days. I am now sending out emails trying to reach out to the schools in my area, but my question is if you were the coach i was emailing what would you like for a coach to include in the initial email?
anything more than a hello im interested, here's my contact info. or would you like some additional info included?
thanks for any help

Coach, I went through a time period of my career where I was subbing or doing other part-time work instead of teaching. I normally sent coaches an email that gave a very brief rundown of my experience, an assurance that my work schedule would work with coaching, and then attached a copy of my coaching resume as well as teaching resume in case they were aware of any jobs that hadn't been posted yet. Obviously, if you aren't a teacher that can won't be a need for you. Anyway, I almost always heard back, even if it was to tell me they didn't have anything available, so I would think short, simple yet informative is the way to go! Good luck.
