This turned out to be one of the best top to bottom clinics I have been to in a few years. Pat Fox- always great to listen to and went back to some fundamentals with a fresh take on drills Paul Golla- energy and has all of the answers for every aspect of his offense and defense-
Jeffrey Williams- Owatoona, MN HC talked about a 3-12 program and growing a program (very reaffirming) Brad Wendland- Waseca, MN HC- running the power, playing defense and making every game a community event Chad Hetlet- Illinios- 3-3 and every thing you every thought about
Tom Bolden- Ohio- start, stop continue to build a program-I even managed to get through a flexbone session Buddha Williams- NDSU- DE coach- my guys were immediately drilling in the hall ways.
Now if it wasn't in a casino it would have been perfect.

I actually wasn't impressed with it as a whole. I've been going to the MN Glazier for 10+ years, so I have heard from the great national Glazier speakers (Fox, Slack, Golla, Hetlet). Looking back, I wish I had sat on more of them as I probably would have picked up on more the second/third go around than what I did.
As it is, I sat on mostly offensive sessions with the local HS and college assistant speakers. Did grab a few nuggets, but nothing groundbreaking. Coach Ashfield (Rice) and Coach Bazea (Homewood-Flossmoor, IL) were the highlights for me.
I think I'm becoming one of the old guys at the clinics. Pretty soon I'll be sleeping in the chairs in the hallway.

I picked up a few nuggets. I always do. I am not really a fan of the location though. Nothing is perfect but I am not into the casino scene and the smoke at that end of the facility was a little to strong for me. For whatever reason it never seemed crowded though which was either a function of the lay out of the facility, the weather, or just very few coaches showed up in comparison to other years.
Speakers wise I thought that DC from Utah State was good, and the high school speakers I went to were excellent.

And I completely agree on the casino location...I liked the downtown hotel.

100% on the national guys. Their "extra" session is usually worth the price of admission. And I echo the location. Now, if we could just take the casino's conference area and attach it to the Bloomington hotel..... The Bloomington hotel was a great location (BK breakfast anyone?) and had the BEST parking I've ever seen for a coaching clinic, but it was definitely getting too small for Glazier.

Yes put the Mystic Lake Conference Center attached to the Bloomington Sheraton hotel and you have a winner.

Not a fan of the location either. What was wrong with Bloomington?
It was my first time listening to Golla's defensive sessions & I could have listened to him all weekend!

If you wanted to get out of the casino to out for supper or grab a beer, you were stuck out in the middle of no where. The no outside booze policy seemed a little silly. There were security guards checking coaches bags as they were just trying to go to the clinics.

Does anyone have notes from Dewayne Alexander? We ended up not making the trip due to weather. Thanks!

Sounds like an all star cast.
I must say the Los Angeles glazier was quite excellent this year as well. What made it weird though was that attendance was the lowest I’ve ever seen at the LA glazier.
