So far we have gotten more out of one on one staff visits, but we still buy the staff season pass for Glazier and sometimes go to our state (Michigan) one, what clinics are you attending this off-season?
What did you go to last year and would you recommend it?

I think we are going to the Louisville Nike Clinic and the Tony Franklin Clinic in Murfreesboro. I'd like to go watch some spring ball somewhere.

Glazier in Houston and Atlanta. Also Mississippi State
I would like to go to at least one other one either visiting a college or a non NIKE or Glazier clinic along the lines of Tony Franklin clinic. Any suggestions of separate clinics like that in AL, LA, MS, GA, TX, TN???

Glazier in Atlanta
I would like to go to a different college this year. I'd love to go to Dabo Swinney's clinic at Clemson. I'ver heard great things about that clinic.

Glazier. There aren't many other clinics around us. The coaches association has a clinic in March and a D3 college has a clinic in a few weeks, but other than that, there isn't much to go to besides Glazier.

We host our own clinic here in Wisconsin every year. We video tape and sell access to the archives online each year afterwards. Always have a great turnout and great feedback. www.coachyash.com/onalaskaclinic.html

Also the the hotel said you can't bring in your own soda pops and that they have right to search coolers.... thats not going to go over well with 5,000 football coaches.

NC has a winter clinic in February we always go to. Have never done the Glazier, thinking about going to the Charlotte one this year. Will probably go to the USA Football Clinic in Orlando, FL. Also, we will hit a college or two up, we have been to Clemson and Georgia clinics the last two years.

AFCA and any clinics that fall on my spring break. Hopefully Alabama or Notre Dame as I have been to both in the past and both do a great job.

What did you go to last year and would you recommend it? 1. AFCA CONVENTION (CLINIC) 2. COOL CLINIC "Glazier" is fine IF they have someone speaking on what YOU plan to run. Don't just go to a clinic looking to be "sold" on something "new". AND FINALLY - visit the BEST HIGH SCHOOL COACH you can find that runs what YOU are interested in!!! I really want to get to the AFCA Convention sometime soon. I think it would be amazing. I have never been to e COOL clinic either but have some videos and manuals. Really enjoyed it and good stuff. I go to Glazier because we have one locally, but like aceback76 alluded to it can be hit or miss depending on what your needs are. I agree whole heartedly with visiting with the best high school coach(es) you can find. I also try to visit 1-2 of the d2/d3 universities in the area that I have cultivated a relationship with over the years. If you go every year, a couple times a year and the same coaches are there you can really start to study what they do and I find they are very open.

We do the Glaziers each year, but we don't necessarily go to the closest one. We will look through the list of speakers and then choose which one has what we're looking for as long is it's drivable. I'll sometimes fly to one myself farther away to hear someone I want to hear. Read more: coachhuey.com/thread/83285/clinics-off-season?page=1#ixzz5bewNG18e

AFCA- very excited to get back to San Antonio Glazier clinic- Minneapolis- moved it to a casino- might not be good Salt Lake City- Cottonwood- hyped for a great opportunity Minn. is going to be great this year Coach. The hotel is spectacular. The Doubletree kept raising room rates and we couldn't do that to the coaches. We are finding the casino hotels work hard to keep room rates down for coaches. There are OL & DL specialty tracks and Head Coach Academy at that clinic. We worked hard this past year to bring new and even more detailed topics to you. You can see the schedule here www.glazierclinics.com/Coaching_Clinics/Minneapolis-Minnesota-Football-Clinic#the-hotel-sectionOne tip for this hotel is to use discretion when bringing in your own beverages. Hotels have rules on outside beverages and in most cases this doesn't cause any issues but discretion is best. Stacks of cases on luggage carts will draw attention at this hotel. Protip: Pack your clothes in the cooler and beverages in the suitcase.

Something to keep in mind is some school districts(mine) won't let me use district funds to stay at a Casino Hotel, so that limits my ability to bring my staff. Also, any chance you guys can secure a w9 form from each hotel and post on your site under the hotel info section? I really wanted to go back to Chicago last year but couldn't get a response from the hotel(Hilton Oak Brook) with the w9 so I went to KC instead, however I'd like to go back this year to Chicago for the March 1 one and still need the w9 before I can make my reservations.

They got rid of Atlantic City which is crazy because being there is an event in itself. They havent been able to get the quality of speaker of Glazier AFTER the Nike Big time coaches they bring in.

Coach this is incredibly helpful. Adding the W9's to the website is something we can conquer pretty quick. The info about your district not allowing casino hotels is good insight as well. Any idea how prevalent this is; districts not allowing casino hotels?
