I would say Paintsville without a doubt, for all the KY coaches, Joe Chrico has done an amazing job. Losing to Jenkins with Kash Daniels in 2013, to what they have now is amazing. Best quick building job in a very long time. Are you in KY coach? Yeah.

The clinic thread got me thinking. I’d like to find some really good small schools to maybe visit during the off-season. I’m looking mainly for schools in OH, TN and IN. If anyone is part of such a school or can point in a direction. I would greatly appreciate it. Is Illinois too much of a stretch? GCMS (Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley) High School is on a 24-game winning streak and has had only 1 losing season (they were 4-5 in 2012) since 2004. School enrollment is 312. They won the Class 2a state title last year (2nd smallest class in Illinois) and are a favorite to repeat this year. They won their first round playoff game Friday night 76-6. The high school is in Gibson City, about an hour west of the Indiana border. Do you know what they run on offense and defense?

Defense is an odd front. Usually 2 deep safeties. And has been lights-out this season. They expect to score on defense. Quarterfinal game last week against a really good Catholic power, the scored on a fumble and INT return. Offense is multiple. The run lots of I with a wing or double wing. But also really good out of 2x2 and 3x1 shotgun. Lots of jet motion. Should also mention their special teams. They have a kid who kicked a 50-yard field goal last year as a junior. They are playing on a 75-yard field. Any drive that get to the opponent's 25 is probably coming away with at least 3 points.

Ohio- Coldwater Indiana- Pioneer Pioneer is a great program. They also have a kid who is a 3 star going to Notre Dame, which just doesn't happen from that classification level. And Kiser is the real deal. I will get to see him win another state championship this Saturday.

You are always welcome to visit Whiting, Indiana. We are not great, but a pretty darn good 2A team in Indiana.

Repeated this year as Illinois Class 2a champs. They are on a 28-0 run over the past two seasons.

Is Alcoa where Cobb is from? Yes, Alcoa is where Cobb came from. I believe that year they had 8-9 players sign D1 scholarships, with 2 of those going power 5. They played in 2A that year as well, so competition was a joke to them. They just won a state record 17 state titles this year, and I believe their 4th in a row.
