Just want to share an In-Season Fundraiser that is EASY money and the kids have fun with it. drive.google.com/file/d/1DcLvPAxMfhuj8TZJxCSg4ArCK-wVbow4/view?usp=sharingIts a Homecoming Jersey Auction. Our kids are not allowed to let anyone wear their jerseys (except parents), except for on homecoming day. We make an easy 10-20 per player for this. With 150 in our program, we make 1,800-$3,000 each year. No costs. It has done so well for us that one year we used the profit to buy a set of "alternate" jerseys for the varsity that we only wear for homecoming, and then the varsity rents out their home AND away jersey which brought in more money. I wanted to share that first, but am hoping for your ideas on an end-of-season fundraiser. We have an annual post-season awards in our Auditorium. No food, no charge to come. We've tried a Silent Auction on signed helmets, footballs, etc, and that brings in a little money. If there was a way to bid online in real time it would be even better (ideas?). Anyway, does anyone have something they do that generates money at their post-season awards night?

Really enjoy the ideas that you share on this site. It's easy to see the hard work you put into your program and why you are successful. Thanks for sharing!

How did you do the auction? Was it online?

We did a box and people wrote their bid on index cards and dropped them into the sealed box. Created a lot of anxiety but it worked. Online would be better.

In Season is a good time to fundraise. We’ve raffled off autographed footballs at home games (if you can get a popular college or NFL player in your area to sign it, you can sell tickets at every home game and give it away at season’s end). It’s also the best time to run the discount card fundraiser, IME.
We also have had the booster club sell merchandise at a merch table (I think most teams do this, but you can go beyond t-shirts if you dig) and even had a parent donate an old junk car that they let people swing a sledge hammer at for $5 a pop.
If you want to sell a bunch of merchandise but save yourselves the headaches of buying, storing, and selling it at games, I’d consider setting up an account on Redbubble or a similar print-on-demand site and just upload your school logo and the artwork you want, spend a few minutes setting up the items you want it on (shirts, mugs, phone cases, etc.) then sell it at a 20-30% markup and let the site take care of the rest. Have kids share the link to your store on their social media pages. Collect the checks. It might not be a ton of money, but it’s a very passive fundraiser with minimal effort on your and your kids’ parts.
Another good in-season or post-season fundraiser is to look at revenue generating opportunities in your community and take advantage. One former opponent’s staff worked concessions at an SEC school’s basketball games in exchange for a cut of the profits. They got to keep almost $9k when it was done. I know other coaches who’ve done similar stuff at college football games or NASCAR events.
Awards night is a little tougher. Maybe you could sell cutup DVDs of player highlights from that season or burn copies of all the games for players and parents to buy as a keepsake.
