The tubes n the bottom are leaving 2 -3 inch divots in the turf on our Field turf surface.
The only practice area we have is the Field turf- what can we do to modify the sled- or any other option for that matter.

How about putting the sled on a couple pieces of 1/2" waterproofed OSB? That would distribute the weight. You would probably want to waterproof the OSB. Might need to put a couple 2x4s across the top to keep the sled from getting pushed off the OSB.

Divots from when you push or from when you store it? The OSB might just need to be left in one place as a parking spot.

We tried several of the option suggested above and still ended up with the divots on the turf. When contacting Rae Crowthers about this issue and the fact that several pre assembled bolts/nuts had come off they were less than helpful. Offered no real solutions at all and said it was the turf. As for the nuts/bolts that had come off(and were not recovered) they basically said go to a hardware store not worth us mailing replacement parts. Sled is good for a variety of drills- not worth the head ache of dealing with the company if anything goes wrong.

Take it to a fab shop, have them weld the thing flat so no bolts....

I would do that, but also I would go after Crowther more. If they are not going to help you with what went wrong I make sure to tell the sales person, area rep and everyone else from that company that you will give their equipment and service a bad rep and you will spread that around.

Lock washers and proper torquing of the bolts should solve the problem going forward. Welding it shut seems like it’s going to bite you in the ass down the line at some point.

We were forced to take it apart and put it in storage...
