I teach/coach JRHS football in a low-income community. We fundraise as much as possible.
1) Football cleats have been an issue, I am looking to put our fundraising $$$ into some cleats and do it as a library check-out system? Anyone ever done this, is this an efficient system and how long will cleats last from the wear and tear of a season? Plastic cleats more durable & longer lasting than metal wired ones?
Looking to checkout the local Goodwill for some cleats. Open to all suggestions.
2) Looking for retailer suggestions, where do you guys purchase the following?
Football hand bags Football red agility bags Those boards you see in OL drills (Home depot?) Football chutes colored Jerseys/Pinnies

I always told my graduating players if they didn't want their cleats I would take them so I had a good supply in case someone didn't have cleats. I would put the info out their that you want old cleats rather than go out and buy. If your community is that bad off, your going to have a heck of a time to get the other stuff. I had my ag teacher make my chutes cost me a hundred back in the day, probably a couple hundred more today. Get your board from a lumber store, if there is one in your town they may give you one. For your shimmels, old t shirts that are big. Cones instead of agility bags, heck of a lot cheaper, can do a lot of that with cones. Hand shields your going to have to pony up on those.

Once a year we did a used sporting goods collection in our community. We advertised it pretty hard and people could either drop stuff off the school or we would go pick it up.
People are dying to get rid of their kids old sporting goods stuff that they outgrew. We got tons of shoe needs taken care of and a lot of cloth (girdles, practice pants). Shoes almost always made it through the season.
You might get a lot of soccer and baseball stuff also that you can pass on to other youth programs.

I've got pile of leftover cleats from easily the past decade that keeps growing because I don't want to tackle it. Come get 'em and you can have 3/4 of them. Plenty of better stuff to spend your money on, and if you have a locker room it shouldn't take too long to build up your own stock pile.
You can get pinnies from football america for a couple bucks each IIRC.
Chutes depends on how solid you want/need them to be. I've laid a pvc frame across a couple sawhorses in the past.
Hand shields and agility bags will cost you, we have a lot of the half round bags as they can be either.

marshalls Is hard to beat on cleats if you don't care about colors.
I also keep a stockpile of old cleats so players can grab some if they need too.
Tire stores will gladly give you old tires for running through and agility drills.
Hit up local hardware stores for their cull lumber for building chutes and for board drills.

1" square tube is what I used on my chutes, I have had them since 2002, gone from school to school with them, all I have done is paint them once in a while, they will last for a long time and not get destroyed, if you want to go really cheap on chutes, I did this at my first school, I took six t posts and drove those into the ground then I strung rope on the top, that was my chutes, there you talking 30 bucks

Keep old cleats from outgoing seniors, contact some other schools nearby and ask if they would be willing to do the same. If you want to buy goodwill is a good place, burlington coat factory typically has d@mn good prices on brand new cleats and tennis shoes.
As for a chute my old middle school coach stuck a few pieces of metal pipe in the ground and fitted some old trampolines over them really tight where we couldn't get too high. He drilled holes in the pipe and had eye bolts at various heights so we could adjust the height of the mat to do OL/DL drills, even had LBs and RBs do drills underneath it. ALways thought it was the most clever thing I'd ever seen.
