Keep up with pancakes each week and winner gets a toy wwe belt to keep for the week. At the end of the year I get it back and give it to the overall winner at the banquet.

After walk-thru's on the last Thursday before the last regular season game, we bring everyone back in the locker room. The HC introduces each senior by talking about what they've meant to the team and may include a funny story about them. He then calls the senior up to address the returning players and offer encouragement to them. Tears are common. Finally, the senior will tell us what their plans are after they graduate. One ground rule: everything stays in that locker room. Players don't discuss it outside of the LR. Then we go down to the cafeteria where the booster's club has prepared NY strip steaks.
Oh, something else we do. At noon on Friday of the first week, we have a rookie show. Rookies (first year players and first year coaches) are in a room together. Everyone else is in an adjacent room with a door allowing entrance between the two rooms. The "doorman" says something like, "are you ready for the next one." In unison, the others say, "He better be funny." And give one clap. The rookie comes in and does something to entertain the others. They can team up with another rookie to do a skit, they can sing a song, tell a joke, anything that is at least slightly funny. . just keep it clean. Again, no talking about it outside of the locker room.
