Head coaches what do you guys delegate to your on campus coaches or assistant coaches that are on campus what are some of the things your head coaches delegates to you? I (hopefully) will be getting a couple guys teaching jobs on campus and finally won't be the only one on campus. Thanks for share some ideas.

If HC ask me to do something, I do it. If something needs to be done and he's unavailable, I take care of it. I've been at my current school for 3 years and I do a little more each year.

I do lots of stuff, some pretty trivial (charge battery for HUDL Sideline, etc), some kind of important (run varsity and frosh weights classes when he is speaking at clinics, for example). Like to think I'm starting to get pretty good at doing the things he asks the way he wants the first time.

I have a GAMEDAY list that divies out jobs that have to be done for games and after. But I think what your asking is housekeeping things. I usually have 1 asst that handles the equipment issues. I had one guy that was my money collector. Then I would try to spread the other things out. For instance we sold popcorn one spring and I had one guy who held it all and gave it out. We usually would divide the lockeroom up and be in charge of x number of lockers each for clean check purposes. As HC you have to control and be hands on in alot of areas. delegating as much as possible really helps your stress level

I'm AHC. I am in charge of off season weights and giving workouts to PE teachers for athletic PE class. The HC and I facilitate off season weights all other coaches stop in when they can. Lots of us coach other sports too. I am in charge of our off season leadership training. Both those roles I sort of assumed because those are my interests. HC told me to role with them and provides financial support of items I need to be successful. We have two coaches who are in charge of equipment issues that go on throughout the year. They work with the HC on reconditioning, cleaning, etc...I have no idea what all they do because it is their job. We have another coach that takes care of cleaning up hudl and labels film in offseason. Our QB coach runs off season throwing camps during the winter for QBs and skill. They meet about 5 times a month. I think the best thing we have implemented is our academic coach who has counselors access to our kids grades. She also takes care of all college applications, transcripts, financial aid, and helps with contacting college coaches. She pulls kids from PE when needed to deal with academic situations. It has been a huge plus.
I'm not sure any of these things have been assigned as much as that each coach puts in time in his interest areas.

I'm a long-tenured OL coach. I'm currently sitting in study hall with my OL, as all other coaches are in with their positions. We all have 1 off-the-field area of responsibility (weight room, coaches locker room cleanup, lock/locker assignments, equipment room, equipment shed) as well as a game-day list of responsibilities (loading, equipment, camera, sideline) that we have to cover. It's pretty fluid, we all do everything, but better believe only 1 person is getting roasted if something isnt done. The big assignments go to the regular on-campus coaches, and the smaller go to off-campus or less-regular coaches
