Isn't there an old saying, "the teacher often learns more than the student"?

1- Now that Im a 'older guy' hope to share with younger guys. I call myself a coaching orphan in I never have had a true 'coaching' mentor to lean on since Ive been in the profession. Always been a scavenger picking up stuff here and there and it has kinda melted (not facemelter) into the scheme and philosophy I envisioned. I mean I have great friends etc. but I dont have that go to guy that many have. So I hope to give back some in this regard.
2- Not really. If someone has my playbook during game by the time they figure out what im doing and getting their guys to react etc it doesnt matter. Its on film anyway.
3- Honored to have been a speaker at Glazier and was one of the best experiences of my career off the field. Planning to write a book next year on our twist on RPOs (Triple Option version twist)

My way of paying back all the coaches who helped me-taught me everything I know along the way.
I got into coaching to help other people, in this case fellow coaches.
Simple as that.

1. I don't have this many friends who want to talk football all the time so this is my outlet. Honestly, it's like having 100 assistant coaches in your ear giving you little bits of information and opinions. You don't have to like them all, but you will definitely find some good ideas. Also, unlike other boards and social media out there, this board is the most civilized group conversation on the planet IMO. I can come on here and say something I believe and get constructive criticism from others without somebody jumping down my throat. But in the end I'm just happy to talk football.
2. Never. I've got no secrets.
3. Whenever you feel like it. It's like asking a girl out for the first time. What's the worst that's going to happen, she's going to say no? Great, you're right back where you were before you asked her out. If that's what you want to do and feel you're ready, take a chance!
