I am putting together a list of examples of players displaying leadership. I want to share it with our players to encourage those actions and behaviors. What do you expect your team leaders to do?/What are some of the behaviors and actions you want from them? For example, one of our best leaders always took time to teach younger players our schemes. He would meet with them early, draw up plays, etc. to help them learn. I appreciate your input.

How much time your players volunteer and where they volunteer. And not...forced volunteerism. Though anytime a kid volunteers it's good...but have any of the players done anything on their own?
Depending on how you clean up your field...the best player that ever came through our program cleaned up the field after practice...without ever being asked to.

Seniors that offer to pick up any underclassmen (no license) and take them to optional morning lifts.
Even when young guys don't want to lift, they want to hang with the cool kids and not be asking parents for a ride.

Humble guys that are good football players with a great work ethic instead of just relying on natural talent . We've had a couple guys that were outstanding players but you wouldn't know it if you just listened to them (never boasted for a second). They were all business during practice and it made the younger guys work harder.
