Our school gives us 3 paid days (one each for 3 coaches) and $0 expenses paid by the district?
Going to clinics means taking personal days or else days without pay for half our staff. It means dishing out $$ for travel, lodging and meals. The Booster club pays the season pass for Glazier.

No professional days and no $$$. If I want to attend a clinic, I must take an unchallenged day (we get 3/year). We are fortunate that our booster club will pay for all clinics.

Our school does absolutely nothing. In fact they do not even let us take a school vehicle.

Our boosters pay for the Glazier stuff, and will get us rooms for the clinic.
Teachers don't get to count the day for anything.

I don't teach so I don't know if he gets professional leave but I know what we get financially: nothing. It's all out of pocket.

Nothing. We actually don't get a budget of any kind aside from equipment reconditioning. Everything else we fundraise for.

$0. Our booster club pays for the cost of clinics and the overnight stays if applicable.

Our district will approve at least 2 professional days for clinics each year. The cost of the clinic and lodging is up to our coaches.

Our district gives us a professional day with a sub but no PD credit. The boosters buy the Glazier pass and 2 nights of nice hotel for 6 coaches and 2 nice meals. We go out of pocket for travel, beverages, and the rest of the food.

Athletic department picks up the tab for Glazier season pass, travel, and hotel room if needed plus $50 for meals. They say it is professional development and written in to the annual budget. Teachers are given a sub and paid day without it counting against their paid time off.

Kind of weird here.... They won't pay for a clinic. But they will cover "professional development costs". So they get us a sub, pay mileage, per diem, and hotel. Clinic cost has to come out of my budget.

Here, the high school pays for the Glazier season pass and the middle school pays for the hotel rooms. Then, both staffs go together. They provide a district vehicle also and professional day.

I can get them to use football account funds to pay for a glazier pass (district does not provide any money for anything sport related except for our gear reconditioning) thats it any travel or anything else is all on us i do save my receipts and write off expenses but the money is coming out of my money (from my record deal and modeling career)

Nothing from the school that I am aware of. The Boosters pay the Glazier registration fee and sometimes hotels for a coach that needs the help. Otherwise it's up to the coaches.

Sounds like a lot of schools are in the same boat financially. Glad to hear our school is very similar. However, I did have to use a pd to attend a clinic I was speaking at.

We fundraise a lot so we use that money to cover cost of clinic and hotel. The only thing we have paid for is our transportation and food. I went ahead and purchased that stuff before I was on my way out the door so I am still good to go this offseason.

We have our summer and winter state clinics paid for by the school. If we want to go to other clinics we are on our own dime for registration, hotel, food etc.

And we get stern looks of displeasure from the office if we take a Friday off to go to one...its pretty obvious though when 4 football coaches all take off a Friday in Feb/March and the school struggling to get subs! lol

Any clinic I go to is considered PD, and a professional work day off.
They will reimburse food, and gas.
I believe we split hotel cost.
We pay for the clinic.
No dirty looks.

Pretty sure everyone has to use a personnel day. School pays for up to 5 coaches, maybe more this year with more interest. We pay for hotel, food, gas, and all other shenanigans.

I've never been in a district where they have covered or reimbursed cost of the clinic or anything else. That is all on the coaches as far as I know.

We get one clinic paid for. They'll pay for the paid coaches only. Volunteer coaches have to pay their own way or I pay for them out of the activity account.

My school classifies these as conference days, so it doesn't count as a sick or personal day. We are on the hook for all $.

just got back from a track clinic, school paid for room for two nights and the clinic, everything else I did, got the day off also, I put it down as a professional day, assume I will get it, if not I 40 some days I will call it a sick day, I had to go into work last week one day when one of my kids were sick and I had called for a sub, they said there were no subs,
