Minnesota has 9-man. Pretty strong tradition here. It'll never go away. I don't think I would want to coach it, but you never know.

9 man is more fun than you'd realize. I'm of the opinion that most youth football shouldn't be 11s anyways, on account of their little brains being literally incapable of grasping that many players at once.

I currently coach 9-man. It's still about blocking, tackling, strategy, motivation, culture, camaraderie, daily sacrifice, weight room improvements, lifelong brotherhood, and, best of all, Friday nights in small town America. We take two guys off the field but the experience is just as important as any other kid playing football.
I heard a coach at a clinic early in my career say, "It may not be the big time for you but it's the only time for them. Make it the big time."
