What a shame. Like someone else said, look at the posts from other coaches on here about him. I've talked to him many times on here. We've had our differences, and learned a lot from each other. Dude is 1st class IMHO. #freeDC Duece

The quintessential DC. Loved his insights on football technique, scheme, or just complaining about things we all think about but have never put into words. That's the profession we have unfortunately. Guys who have been there and done it all being blamed for things by guys with less credibility than guts, ZERO.

His twitter handle was DCOhio. I guess he did some searching for the twitter handle to dig up dirt there and it eventually brought him to this forum. Thought maybe we had to take care of a rat here.... Oust him....who is it?

You know, I hate to write it, but stuff like this is why I don't have my picture as my avatar anymore and why I am careful to write posts that don't reveal who I am (and I'm really nobody of consequence). Its also one of the reasons (although there are many) why I don't have a twitter/facebook/ any of that stuff. Good advice. I do have a Facebook account, but it is set to private and I do not accept friend requests from students, parents, colleagues, or anyone that has anything to do with the school where I work. Once I move on, sure. But I like to keep my personal and professional lives separate.

Mine actively monitors employers' social media accounts, including the private ones. I keep mine very private and don't accept any requests from the people above, either, yet I still got called to task a few months back over two jokes I'd posted on there 3 years ago. I promptly deleted those things, FWIW, but it took forever to dig back through and find them.

We apparently had something weird happen regarding a teacher and social media last year, so our new Director has made policing employees' social media one of her top priorities. She screens' all applicants' social media before she even allows them to interview. Weirdly enough, she also insists that we all create Twitter accounts and use them to market our public school system.

no twitter for me, I can barely keep up with my hotmail i have twitter for 2 things. 1) Tweeting about sharks hockey 2) B*tching out companies publicly for crappy service. I have Facebook to keep in touch with old friends. And while I don't really have anything to hide on there, I still don't want an employer eavesdropping on my private life. If I had my settings public and befriended people associated with the school and posted something stupid on there and word got back to an employer, that would be one thing. But taking the initiative of bypassing my privacy settings is about like walking up to my house and looking in the window or bugging a dinner conversation with a few friends. It goes too far. Being inappropriate isn't always about what you do but how and where you do it. Dancing naked and singing with a bottle of Everclear as your microphone is okay in your living room. If you do it out in public, that's a different story.

I got suspended from coaching for two games this season. We use Facebook Messenger as a form of communication between coaches and kids. Couple kids started bitching about playing time in it, so I respectfully asked them to talk to us about that in person and simply said something along the lines of, "You need to worry about passing your classes before you worry about your playing time."
That was enough for the admins to suspend me for 2 weeks.Cited the fact that I spoke publically about a kids grades in a message with 30+ able to see it. It's a Phuking joke anymore guys, an absolute joke.
Had another instance last year where I called a coach out for not ever doing anything. The head coach refused to address the situation, so in our group text message for the coaching staff. I was pretty direct with my point, AD said had I sent it to him personally, I would have been fine. But because I sent it in coaches text, it was not cool.
Shaking my damn head at the amount of god damn pus sies in this world anymore.
