Coaches, our first Huey webinar was a great success! I want to keep it going.
My thoughts are to either do a defensive topic next, or because the coaching carousel is in full motion we could get a speaker with resume and interview advice.
What do y'all think?

Stopping the Full House T including practice planning & drills to teach the necessary skills. Interesting. Do you see a lot of that in your part of be state? We see it, but only as goal line packages.

This year: 2 under center wing t teams 1 pistol wing t team 1 pistol flexbone team 1 pro I team The others were spread with their own variation. We didn't change conference or anything, just new coaches giving us new looks.

Stopping the Full House T including practice planning & drills to teach the necessary skills. We play a full house t team and play it 2 ways but they are similar in execution. The best defense against them, IMO, is field position. If you can keep them out of 4 down territory they can't do much, and have some dudes up front who can hold their own I'm gonna try and actually attend this one if it will let me, and between those 2 I vote resume stuff.

I do agree that resume stuff would be more appropriate 1st.

I really would like to have someone discuss pattern reading vs. quick pass game concepts (slants, hitches, arrow, etc). I would like someone to discuss initial defensive movements & footwork/body position of underneath defenders.

I'm actually really interested in this as well, and might selfishly make the topic be about that.

Honest question... did they have more success against you than the previous regimes or was the change of system irrelevant.. Some of them did move it better, but i coach at the evil empire. We get a lot of talent and just have better guys than most of our conference. That's why you'll never see me on here bragging about what we run. Our dudes are just better. The Pro I team actually beat us this year (we hurt ourselves) and the flexbone triple team beat up on us pretty well. The rest, the system isn't relevant. They just aren't the greatest programs. They're well coached but that only goes so far. That brings us back to the most echoed statement here. Run what you know because there is no magic bullet.
