Not meaning to start another gear thread but I want to order our staff some water proof jackets for those monsoon Friday nights we get sometimes. A lot of the stuff out there says water resistant but that means it'll soak through on a rainy night. I want something 100% waterproof (or as close as you can get). I have a nice Nike one from another stop I still wear sometimes. They are very expensive for those. Nike, UA, Adidas are all over $100 per jacket. Are there any cheaper alternatives that still do the same job? I've been using rain gear I bought at WalMart that has served me well but just wanted to get everyone something with the team logo on it. Thanks.

We have the rain gear from Nike that comes with pants and jackets with our school logo. It was expensive but it is 100% water proof. Used it over 10 times between games and practice and never got a drop on me when I did. If you can find away to get those it is well worth it.

I have a Columbia rain jacket that was about 40 bucks, and it's kept me bone dry in a literal tornado, and for every rain game I've had it.
I'd recommend Columbia or something along those lines, no doubt about it.

We got some nice Russell rain jackets several years ago. I still wear mine on the worst rain games and it works great. I have no idea how much it cost, but Russell is generally cheaper than Nike or UA

I have a BOATHOUSE rainsuit that I got 14 years ago, still works like a champ. The only issue is the pants get a bit warm when it's humid. I'm looking for a new pair of pants.

boathouse is one of the best, I just take whatever I got and scotchgard it, may change the color to darker but it does the trick

LL Bean is expensive, but when it stops being waterproof - and they do lose it - you can return it for another one. I'm on my third, only paid for the first one.

I have the nice Nike rain gear, but how is Frogg Togg? I've got a Frogg Togg poncho that I keep in my back pack for everything. Not the most stylish thing but then again I don't care when I'm dry.

Anything Gortex. Have an old Boathouse Gortex jacket that is pushing 12 years old and still keeps me dry. It's from three schools ago so it's had some cosmetic alterations, like duct tape over the old logo, but it's as good as new.

At two different stops I've ordered rain gear from Warrior, I think it's a lacrosse company. Much cheaper than the Nike, Boathouse, etc, and my staff stayed dry.

Call your Nike dealer. There's usually a Nike Golf rainsuit set for around $150 retail. You should be able to get the set for about $100 with your logo on the jacket.

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to give Columbia a shot. They have a waterproof jacket for around $70 a piece. I know Columbia is a reputable brand so hopefully they turn out well. As I mentioned I do have a Nike that works well and know the UA and Adidas are similar, but this is a difference of about 30 per jacket. I'm going to spend around 1k on coaching gear and the coaches wanted to to get something else in addition to the jacket so this was the compromise. I'll update with how they work out.
