Bought myself coachgrab's offensive gameplanning/scripting program (excel file), it's pretty neat and I'm liking how it's making me think about how I prepare/script during the game week. It's honestly nothing terribly advanced in the programming, but the organization is what's clutch and that's the kind of stuff that I am always looking to improve on. I feel like no one in my life buys me football stuff because they would feel like they're giving an alcoholic a gift card to BevMo.

I got a Baylor hoodie. It was on sale haha. Im okay with that. Oh yeah, and a new drawstring back to carry all my junk. I got a Michigan State Nike quarter zip....might wait to wear it for a while after last night. Going to pick up that Urban Meyer book. My little one has her second open heart surgery coming up on January 11th so I'm going to have a lot of downtime in waiting and recovery rooms.

Thanks guys. She's 14 months old and this is the second one. The first one was major and they gave her a 10% chance of survival. She's thriving.
This one is only a valve repair. When I say only a valve repair I am being slightly sarcastic, but in comparison this one is relatively minor. It's going to go great.

Urban Meyer's book Above the Line. I thought it was excellent. Limited on the anecdotal big game BS and filled with insight about running a program. I all ready finished it today. Bought it yesterday and I'm 1/4 through, it really is a terrific book. Thanks for the recommendation fellas!

Bought the book today for Kindle. Excited to read it as well. As always, I love the recommendations here. I was thinking about getting it anyway, but I trust most of the posters on this site.

Loved that book. Took me about 3 weeks to finish it between playoffs, school and work. Got 'Saturday Morning Wake-Up Call' by K. Russell DePriest & Adam DePriest. Also got the "Complete Handbook of Clock Management" by Homer Smith.
I also got a sh*t ton of information emailed to me from coach Vanderbush about S&C last week. I guess you could say that it was an early Xmas gift. THANKS COACH! Also found the 2nd edition of BFS in PDF format online for free. Let me know how you like the "complete handbook of clock management" was thinking about getting that one myself. As someone who also got Clock Management, I think it's pretty good. More than anything I think it really forces you to ask and answer questions that most guys don't frequently think about. At one point, I stopped reading and just running through a specific scenario in my head for 10 minutes. I still don't know what I would do....

Thanks guys. Unfortunately they had to delay surgery which sucks because time is working against my daughter. Apparently she has remnants of a cold that made them nervous. She passed her pre-op physical on Friday, but today they changed their minds.
We are incredibly frustrated but are glad they are erring toward caution here. We are hopeful that they can get her rescheduled quickly.

Praying for you guys, and your awesome little one! Thanks. As I've said many times here and elsewhere, she is way tougher than her old man will ever be.
