Hue Jackson who is now the Browns head coach does some cool things on offense. Maybe because I'm a Bengals fan, yes the 90's were rough, but I liked a lot of his adjustments and the way he used trades and shifts. In the end it's a lot of base 11 and 12 packages, but he does some great things with Efiert at TE.

This is the part that I really don't get. You have a qb who spent 4 plus years ( maybe going back to highschool) running Air Raid from the Shotgun. And the first thing nfl coaches want is for him start his rookie year take 5-7 step drops undercenter. Everyone says how much faster the game is so not only are they still learning a new system, new footwork, and new teamates(which probably arent great if your a high pick) but you have to do that vs physically the best fotball players in the world. Its just seems like madness to me at times.
For example I'm sure Goff is glad he is the number one pick and the money is great. Buts what's it worth if your considered a bust in 3 years and your now stuck as a journeyman backup. I mean what has the rams as an organization shown in the last 10 years that they are any good at developing a qb?
I am just talking here and hopefully it works out but I hope they play to his strengths as much as possible and not make him something he is not. If they do the latter at least sit him and give him time to grow

It is worth $27.9 million with $18.5 million being guaranteed over 4 years with a 5th year option. All kidding aside, I think you are looking at it from the wrong perspective though. The TEAMS need to look at it from their perspectives as investments. They are investing in assets, and then trying to get the assets to do something new.

I guess I was thinking whats a 30 million dollar rookie contract if you play in the wrong system/team where it doesn't work out. Compared to a better situation with less money early but the secound contract as an established qb.

I can watch almost any NFL game...until the announcers start talking "NFL Bro Speak". I've almost always got the tv muted. And why would and NFL team fake a PAT when the ball is sitting on the 15yd line? The best athletes in the world doing anything athletic is fun to watch. I like watching the defense of the dolphins (mainly because I'm a huge fan but they had some freaks on DL in the last couple seasons) the panthers get pretty creative on defense, and the Bills have quite a DL as well.
