What do you guys do pre game from the end of school until going on the field pre game. I dont like what we do now as a staff and want to get some ideas for the future, be it next week or next year

We get out at 2:35 and don't play until 7:30. We used to hold the kids at the school, but we're a small community so some of our kids will go home afterwards and return for roll call and pregame meetings.
So now we do this:
At 2:45 we open the locker room for any player that needs to stay at school before the game. The expectation is that they stay in the locker room area/athletics wing and relax. We allow them to watch film as well.
For a 7:30 game I usually ask everyone to be here around 4:15 for roll call. After roll we have position meetings and quick walkthroughs.
QBs hit field at 5:55 Specialists hit the field at 6:10 Whole team hits field at 6:25 for pre-game routine Off at 7:00 Coin toss at 7:25
Everything up until we hit the field changes for away games due to departure times.
I used to get really hung up on keeping them here, forcing them to get into a certain mental state. What I've found is that it just causes more anxiety for me and pi$$es me off. So get them out of my hair until I'm ready. We have yet to have anything negative from this- the really hyperactive kids who can't relax before a game can go be crazy and loud all they want elsewhere. Once they get here they are busy until gametime so they have no time to goof off.

None of us work at school. It's a small community, like 2 miles by 2 miles square district, so,we tell the kids be here by 5 for home games. That's it. Then hit the field around six for warm ups. We don't get to crazy with pre game stuff.

We get out of school at 3:10 and play at 7. We play at a city stadium so we have to include the bus ride (short) in our plan. We tell the kids to get into the building by 4 then pass out bag lunches. We have a ST meeting at 4:30, a defensive meeting at 4:45, then get on the bus at 5:10. When we get there the kickers, snappers, and holders come out almost immediately. Next, the receivers and QB's come out while I review with the OL in the locker room. When the OL comes out we do our team dynamic warmup, do a brief positional warmup (By offensive position's only. I don't know why), run a few plays, then go into the locker room until it's time to come out to play.

We let them go and open up film for whoever wants to watch film. We have tried to keep them at school and "get them in the right mind frame" but it blew up in our faces every time. We just have them be back at 5:30 for tape/dress up. 6 special teams. 6:15 QB/WRs. 6:35 team hits field for team stretch and warm ups. 7:20 coin toss and national anthem. 7:30 kickoff.

If home we play on Saturdays at 1:30. We tell them to be ready to meet at 1:00. We each talk, show something motivational sometimes, and take the field at 1:15. Short lines warmup (2 minutes), run about 6-8 plays and that's it. If away, games are usually at 7:00. we leave school in time to get there 1 hour before kick-off and do the same routine. After school or on Saturday they can do whatever as long as they are ready when they need to be.

We always have a movie for 2 hours after school, rarely football related.
Followed by a meal. Then walk thru.
A little bit of tape and prep for the next hour and a half.
Then we have our hour pre game and then kickoff.
I used to want the kids to watch a football or energetic movie, but now I've just gone with comedies and things to keep things loose.

We get out at 3:10.
3:10-3:35 - Team meal
3:35-4:50 - Movie (we've done Gridiron Gang, Lone Survivor, We Were Soldiers, etc.)
5:00-5:30 - Specialists warm up in our team shirts/shorts. Meanwhile, everyone else walks from goalpost to goalpost once to get their minds right (it's our superstition!). This is usually partnered with blaring music to really let the kids know gametime's coming.
5:30-6:00 - Chill out, get pads on
6:00-6:30 - Full pads warmups. Stretch lines, hitting drills, walk through plays.
6:30-6:40 - Chill some more sitting in our gym bleachers. Our locker room is pretty small so we can't just fit everyone in. We usually proceed with listening to loud a$$ music, even though we're right outside the opponents locker room. The subliminal message is that we could care less about how the other team feels (don't blast me for it, it's the HC's idea)
6:40-6:50 - Pre-game speech. Usually has a few swear words in it haha
6:55 - Run through banner as New Noise by Refused plays. None of that marching band $hit.
7:00 - Coin toss
I wish I could experience it every Friday night

Seeing as how almost our whole school population is Native American we find it fitting. It also plays before every third down and after a big play.

We play Sandstorm by Darude before every opening kickoff. It gets the crowd jacked up, but the student section doesn't know how to properly execute it. SMH we even gave them white towels and they didn't know what to do with them. Proper execution:

Down time from 2:45 (school lets out) to about 4 (roll call). Chapel/prayer service until about 4:30/45. Team meal from 4:45 - 5/5:15. That leaves about an hour to get themselves read (get taped, dressed, music, etc…). Also allows us time to talk to them if we need to (find out something from watching the JV game to be aware of). Early outs at 6 (specialists and returners) 6:15 we are on the field for pre game routine. Kick off at 7pm.
