Indiana is one of the states where the Fed will be experimenting with a 40 second play clock next season.
I think the Texas guys already had this change last season, and I was wondering who else was an "experiment" state and what they think about the alteration.
As a team that hasn't huddled since 2008, I obviously love it.
I hate when officials take forever to set the ball for play.......both when we are on offense, and when we are defense.
We had several schools "slow play" us, never snapping the ball with more than 5 seconds to go, which is fine, UNTIL you get officials who let 30 seconds of game time expire before they blow the ready for play.
On offense, although we are not a pure up tempo team, it will be nice to situationally go as quickly as we would like.
My fear is some back judge will have a heart attack though.

we didnt huddle last year so it was not a problem adjusting to the time.. but we were worried about the refs and how quickly they would get it set. for a good surprise we did not have a problem with the ball be set in an "appropriate" time.. and no one had a heart attack!

We're no huddle and sometimes I wonder if I should just go back to huddling because we usually end up standing around waiting for the ball to be set and the play clock to start. We don't push tempo at all because there's no need.
