Let's have a little fun here. You're given a $10,000 donation to spend on whatever you want for your football program. Assuming you have good equipment and sleds/pads what would you use that money for?

A fun answer, something like a small camping trip or something for the kids. I see all the videos of teams who go out of town for their summer camps and it's always looked like an experience the kids would greatly enjoy.
More realistic and not fun at all answer, absolutely nothing. I would save it for the day we do need it since money is so hard to come by.

I'd get a better neck machine, almost completely replace our barbells, get a few hundred more pounds of plates, and put up a screen so that our guys don't get hit in the ass with softballs when the weather is semi-damp and the softball team is inside. If there was money left over, I'd love a Shadow Man or two.

Can I use it to pay for moving expenses for a D1 athlete's family?

I'd do something for the kids they would consider cool. T shirts, shorts, sweats, alternate helmets or jersey, something like that. Then I'd put some of it away for a rainy day.

Put it towards building our own Field so we wouldn't have to share with 4 other teams. :-)

Id do some type of major team bonding activity and get the coolest dri fit shirts we could get. Or pyrotechnics for game day!

IF the weightroom doesn't count as "equipment" then it would go there.
I'm between coaching jobs right now, but spending it on the weightroom will always give you your best bang for the buck no matter where you're at.
This is assuming all the immediate needs are taken care of (quality helmets and pads, jerseys, food for team meals, balls, etc).

Weightroom renovation or put toward building a pole-barn to use as a training facility.

Half would go into the weight room for a new rig system and bumper plates, two things we sorely need. The other $5k would be split evenly between gear for the team and an "investment" in coaching technology. We have hudl, but not with all the bells and whistles. With the sideline technology rules being wonderfully lessened, I'd have to invest in a few tablets.
This is fun!

Anything I could think of to improve the weight room and then gear for the kids. Kids like gear and I want them excited to be here

Weight room upgrade for sure. Whatever is left from that would be put toward our field; a portable EZ camera and then new speakers (currently 2 our of the 4 work).

Pay for our team camp, a new camera to film games/practice, and something to get a tight endzone shot for games.
