I bought a Cutter's mini playmaker wrist coach for our QB this weekend. It contains 60 plays. I'm using the template from Cutter's website. I'm doing it for our head coach to make play calling easier. Do any of you color code the plays? If so, please explain your color code system. Thanks!

I just went to their website, but the link to the free template was not working. Is there anyone that could forward a copy to me? My email address is coachteeter@yahoo.com
Thanks!

I really like the Cutter's wrist coach! But, the paper inserts don't hold up well under lots of sweat. Guess I'll have to laminate them. Have you found the same problem? How did you fix it?

Laminating the inserts is the key! I learned the hard way last year. The sweat will smear the ink and leave stains on the clear windows, ruining the "wrist coach".
I create my inserts in excel, which makes it a bit easier to change the inserts and keep the size consistent. Word always messes up the alignments. Let me know if you would like a sample. I just finished mine last night.

We use a Neuman Wrist Coach with the lift up flap. We only use 2 of the 3 windows but now the font is much bigger thna our old single page.

we just put packing tape over our inserts after we cut them out. Our laminater is old and does not work very well and it is easier for me to just bring packing tape to my study hall and tape over the inserts everyday.

Laminate no doubt
You can use Excel to make more than two columns that fit the three window wrist coach but size may be smaller
Blue- run Green - Screen Yellow - _Pass Pink Play action
Use the hightlighter in MS Word.

Man having to laminate is BS. We use the Triple Wrist Band and we just slide the paper in. I have been doing some wristbands on the BUS on the way to the game. Can't imagine having to go through the pain of laminating. That would really restrict it I would think...

I used thicker paper to print on. It made them last longer, I only used them for games. But what I did was color code each one of the 3, one was green, one blue one was red, that way I just called Red 21 and he looked at the red section. I think I high lighted passing plays also.

The best way to laminate is with a cool laminator. You just roll a sheet of paper right through and it laminates it. No electricty or heat or time envolved. Very easy. Mine is made by XYRON, but I am sure there are others. It only adds a total of one minute to the ENTIRE process of making 60+ cards. Just take your full sheet and run it through and then cut like normal. I know some people will cut up the wristbands first and then run each individual wristband through the laminator and then re-cut to make sure there is a seal around each card. We have found that you don't have to do that. Just laminate the sheet and cut like normal.
I can print, laminate, and cut 60 wristbands by myself in 15 minutes. With help we get it done in 5.

Last year our program was so broke we couldn't get a laminator. I ended up having to use some 3" wide, clear shipping tape to cover the play cards. It worked but was a real pain. Without some type of lamination our cards were wet and worthless by the end of the first quarter. I am getting a laminator this year if I have to get in my own wallet!
