I have been coaching for 8 years. One at high school, one at d-II, two at d-IAA, one at Juco, two at D-III and one at NAIA. This year, I'm trying out the junior high ranks back in my hometown in Texas. Looking forward to it and I'm looking forward to learning from yall. Hopefully I can intelligently contribute to some of the conversations. I have coached QBs, WRs, Oline, Dline, LBs and Secondary. I have been passing game coordinator and defensive coordinator.

Great site!
I've been coaching youth football for 5 years now (6th graders) in Minnesota. We've ran wing-t in previous years but will be switching to the Calande DW this season. On the defensive side we will run a 4-4 this year.

I am currently the OC at class 4a school in the Greater Houston area. We are a flex-bone option football team. Have coached the ol, backs, and qbs but identify myself as an ol coach (always like the big boys). Only coaching job I've ever had, jsut finished my 18th year. We've misssed the playoffs 3x in 18 years but have never won it. "All I want for Christmas is a Big Fat ring , a Big Fat ring ..."

Former HC/AD @ small East Texas school for a couple years.
Straight AD now, looking to coach again after this year.
Offensive coordinator in "I" and spread offenses. Ran spread as HC.
Defense was 3-3 with some eagle mixed in.

Still in Texas.
AD with no coaching/teaching not really my goal right now. It's great but I want to coach a few more years.

AD with no coaching would drive me nuts.
I always wanted a HFC, no teaching, no AD job. That would be the deal there.

scoresomemore
HS Wing-T = 2yrs Pro I = 1 yr splitback veer = 1 yr
Coached for 5 years now since graduating HS
Defense= 5-2, 4-3, 4-4 Offense= I- option, splitback veer, multiple set offense (non-option running)
work with defensive ends and WR's, assistant offensive coordinator previously, i enjoy veer option football and the multiple set offense, defensively i think over-aggressive is the way to go, put the heat on the offense at all times,
i love talking football and trying to gather new ideas, but i thoroughly enjoy sharing technique differences with one another so i can learn the game. great site for all of us football junkies, war huey, war tog, and war the new season quickly upon us!

Didn't play in college, though I got offered to kick
We went 4-3 for 3 years, and then for personnel reasons, we went 3-4 my last year.

This will be my first fall as a coach. My father coached football on the high school and collegiate level for 13 years, I've been around the game my whole life and I couldn't stay away from the game a minute longer. I am in graduate school right now getting a masters in education and am playing the role of a sponge right now with any info that can get tossed my way.

I am currently an OL/DL coach for a class 3 team in Missouri. Last Year I was a OL/Run game coordinator for a class 2 Finalist also in Missouri. I have 2 years coaching experience at the high school level, and 1 year student coach at an NAIA school of course also in Missouri. Offense: 1. HS player- West Coast 2. College- Run-n-Shoot 3. HS Coach- Multiple Spread (although we also ran the hell outa it ala Urban Meyer! 4. HS coach #2- Pro-I Triple option (old school Nebraska) Defense: 1. HS Player- 5-3 2. College Bear/4-3 3. HS Coach-4-3 4. HS Coach #2- Multiple Defense based out of 4-3
This is the first message board I have registered at. I am not exactly proficient at using them, or checking them for that matter but I'll do my best.

I'm entering my 29th year of coaching football. We run true option football (inside & outside veer, midline, triple belly, speed, counter option, shuffle option) and we run a 52 cover 3 slant and angle defense. We are in Illinois.

good to have you on here bucky
the first thing I thought of when I saw your nickname on here was Bucky Richardson, the qb from Texas A+M
That was a good option qb there.

South Dakota - 9 man football, 17 years. Used to run out of the I (this being Nebraska country), but switched to veer four years ago and had best offensive success since I've been here. Went to wing-T last year, but feel there are some issues in nine man (though I'd entertain thought provoking ideas to the contrary). Looking to run flex bone this year.
9 man ball is something - You send a kid out and he plays both sides of the ball and special teams, and the only breaks he gets are for time outs and quarter stops. I love seeing young man face up to what is really in them when they suit it up in one of these games.
