Hey coaches, My name is Anthony Blake. I'm from Rochester, NY and a Michigan Wolverine turned youth and high school football coach now living in Seattle. I was a student manager during the Lloyd Carr era - back when we had little brothers. Now I'm coaching at Redmond High School and by God's grace also spend all my waking hours working on elevating the game of football. I run a sports technology startup, but we'll leave it at that for now. Mostly, I love football (all sports, really) and want to share in the learning and inspiring that happens on this site. Looking forward to joining in the conversation.

Greetings. I have been coaching since '97 in and around Tampa, FL, from high school to 8 year olds. My play calling style is often described as Vanilla, and usually have to have another coach remind me that we have more than 4 or 5 plays. This year I will be running a Pistol variation along multiple power formations. I enjoy bouncing ideas off of other coaches, especially those defensive oriented. I look forward to sharing with some of you.

Long time lurker, seldom poster. I was lucky enough to play in college a bit at Michigan. I have been coaching a few years, really like it. I'm a defensive guy who coaches the front 7 and OL. I spent one season as a DC and was in over my head. I love what you guys are all about, and I'm glad I'm here

Helping coach youth football in NJ. 4,5,6, & 7 year olds, full contact. I can honestly say this has been a very testing experience. I joined here looking for some help and tips on running practice and disciplining kids at that age.

Coached 10-14 year old OL/DL last year. Coached 13-16 year old OL/DL this year, with two months of being HC for he 10-14 year olds. Will coach 16-19 year olds next year on another team. Primarily OL, maybe something new as well. I played for the Danish National Team last year, but due to injuries my time as a player is over, but I enjoy helping kids to reach their full potential, and of course develop them as young men.
My sytems of choice - Offense: Spread from shotgun or pistol. IZ read and OZ Defense: 3-3 Stack or 46 Bear. Wouldn't mind having both in the same playbook.
Ã…rhus, Denmark. (Europe for all you illiterates!)

This is my 5th year coaching. I was in business before and decided to make a career change to something I could be passionate about. I have coached OL and RB as well as been an OC at the Jr. High level. I coach at a Christian school and love Jesus but I don't thump a bible at people. I enjoy helping kids and wouldn't want to do anything else.

Hey coaches. I'm a 20-year old coach and I just finished up coaching my first year of High School football. I was asked to help out my Alma Mater when they were struggling to find quality assistant coaches. I coached LB/RB and was the DC for our JV team. I'm young and have a lot to learn but I really fell in love with coaching and am eager to learn!

Greetings coaches!I'm currently a high school senior and recently wrapped up my first season as an assistant coach (co-offensive coordinator) at the middle school level, well at any level for that matter. I have experience in setting up game schedules and ran parts of practice as well.
I'm looking to learn as much as I can and stock up on materials (templates/suggestions/ideas/things that worked and didn't work with other coaches) that I can one day use when I hopefully am running my own program!

My name is Coach Crowe. I know some other posters on here personally. I have been coaching in SC for years now. I am not currently coaching. I have coached QBs, WRs, and TEs. I have been an OC at the 4A level in SC. I have used several video systems, which used to be a HOT TOPIC on this board. I am very interested in the coaching aspects beyond X's and O's, such as leadership and relationships. As I mentioned above I am not currently coaching. I am in one of those phases waiting to see which door God opens next. I have been in this situation before so it's both exciting and frustrating at the same time. It's been a few years since I've visited this board. I'm listed as a lurker. YIKES!!

Hey ya'll,
My name is Hayden DeLano. I am 22 y/o senior in college at a little state college in Nebraska. I am an aspiring OC who fell in love with the "chess match" of football Xs and Os years ago. I was a decent player in high school but had an even better mind for the game (probably what attributes to most of my playing time)..
anyways..
Joined the board to learn as much as possible at every aspect of the game. Even though I am an offensive minded guy I enjoy learning the ins and outs of the defense and yes, special teams as well!
Thanks!

Defensive Coordinator / Assistant Head Coach 6A Football team in Kentucky. Coached HS for 16 seasons, coached and operated Minor Professional team for 25 years, worked on Offensive and Defensive side of the ball at that level! Have also coached at the youth league levels for a few years in between. Went from one of the largest & affluent 6A Programs to smallest (more diverse) 6A school 5 years ago, facing many different obstacles in building a consistently successful program. Will be moving down in class this coming season to 5A.
Varsity QB/RB - 1998 Defensive Coordinator - 1999 Freshman Head Coach - 2 Years 2000-2001 Varsity Special Teams Coordinator - 2001 Varsity OLB Coach - 2002-2003 Varsity LB Coach / Special Team - 2004-2006 Varsity DL Coach / Special Teams - 2007-2008
Played Linebacker in high school, college and Minor League (also played Offensive Guard).
Have Coached primarily 4-4 Multiple Defense in and out of 4-2-5 and 4-3 with Okie package to play versus all the Spread Os out there (started as a 5-2 guy but always tried to be more versatile and flexible with hybrid personnel) Constantly looking for best possible player fits for OLB/SS/DE capable students, not always easy. Offensively, been all over the board but mostly Wing -T (prefer Pro I but public high schools generally not overflowing with those types of O-linemen).
Looking forward to some inspiring reading and conversation!

Hey all,
I'm Coach M. I'm a fairly young coach, only 23 years old, and next season will make my 4th year on the headset after 15 years of wearing shoulder pads. I coach at a 2A school in Eastern Kentucky. I'm currently the defensive coordinator/director of football operations/assistant athletic director. I'm the one of the only football coaches on campus, so I have a large workload sometimes. I played high school ball for 3 different head coaches at the same school. Our offense varied from the Side Saddle Single Wing, to a traditional wishbone/flexbone, and later to the 5 wide spread. I've seen various amounts of offense needless to say. Defensively, we primarily ran a 5-2 cov 3 look, except my last year when we moved to a 6-2 the entire season. I played all over the offensive line, and I mean that literally. I played every single position on the OL...LT, LG, C, RG, RT, and even TE. Defensively, I played DE, a 5 tech. I went on to play small college ball near home and played for 3 1/2 seasons. While there I played Defensive End in a pro 4-3, which was worlds different than what I was used too. I tore my ACL in a game against South Alabama and called it quits after that. Knowing what I wanted to do, the head coach (who at the time was the winningest coach in the state of KY) invited me to join his staff as a student assistant while I finished my degree. It allowed me to keep my scholarship while working with them to help my future. While working there my job included many different things...video, equipment, hudl, study hall organization, etc... I learned a lot of administrative skills working with the college program.
During my last year of college I resigned and went to work for my old HS HC, who needed more help than the college. I coached the OL/DL and also doubled as the head JV coach, and helped out wherever I was needed. We had dropped out of district play to build up the program. It was hard to compete with state contenders every year with limited number of athletes. Our first year we went 6-4 (which is the best record our school has ever had. Following that year our HC resigned to take the OL job at the eventual (and back to back) state champion. I decided to stay on and help as the assistant head coach. We went 5-5 this past year after multiple nightmares. The new interim HC was an old school coach. We're talking 32 personnel the entire game. The OC, wanted to run more of a spread type offense, so we would switch back and fourth throughout the season. Defensively I continued to run the 5-2. With the interim HC up for return, I'm not sure what exactly I'm going to do yet. As for my personal preferences, offensively I'm a split back veer guy and defensively I'd stick with the 5-2.
I'd like to thank everybody for all the information on this site. It is truly the best football reference and communication website ever created. I look forward to reading and learning more along the way of my career.
