i am currently hc for frosh team in va, looking foward to coaching again took a year off.
i have hc coached youth football for 7 yrs pro i, wishbone, tight t form, sin wing. ol/dl hs with section titles each yr wing-t, i wing, ,40,50 series d played at 4 different hs as a kid all championship teams pro set, power i, spread, bone, wing, 4-3 sky d, 4-4 stack, 5-3 also played 2 yrs jc ball pro wing 1 semi pro multipule set, 4-5 d
currently hc at sm school in va 400 kids, helping build a program from bottom up. running veer, split veer stuff 4-3 defense but i'll change to overshifted 4-4 works best with youngns
i love wing-t it is fast and can be very exciting watching teams try to stop it. i like a over shifted 4-4 kind of like a 5-2 look works good mostly cover 3 set.

I am currently a varsity QB coach in Texas. My coaching career (short) has involved experience at the high school level and a graduate assistantship at a Division I school. (SEC)
I love offensive football and aspire to be a master QB coach. I love the "west coast offense" and anything similar to it. I am a huge fan of Norm Chow's offense and Mike Holmgren's offense. I know a lot of you like the spread/Gun stuff, but thats just me.
**If you too love the WCO ....lets talk about it!

I am a O-Line and D-Line Coach in Southern California. I have been coaching for 5 years and am in my 3rd year at my current HS. I played D3 ball in So Cal, and have coached ever since. I am also a teacher at the school I coach at. At my previous coaching assignment I had won 2 CIF titles and had 3 lineman of the year. I am looking for any help and guidance that people are willing to give. I am only in my mid 20's so I have a lot to learn!

Hello
I have been a high school coach (asst.) for 6 years now with my second coaching staff. Currently, I'm the OC at a small AA school (350 students). The following is our style of O and D.
Offense: Multiple: Primarily I-backs or one-back .........Iso/Dive/Trap and Counter/Toss or Jet .........Passing attack is 3-step and 5-step -- w/ screen and some playaction
Defense: 3-3 stack ..........previously ran some 4-3 and a little 50
Great site, just what I've been looking for.

What the heck I'm new here I'll take a shot.
Coach 175 here
I am a rule 10 Coach, at a 3A school in Kansas. We are a 4x4, Spread team. I coach RBs and D-line, and am ST coordinator.
Football background:
Player: HS - MLB Didn't go to College, felt an uncontrollable urge to fight the "RED DEVIL" have been a carrier Firefighter for 23+ Years now.
Coach: Started with little league when my kids needed a Coach. Got the bug and stayed with little league well after my kids were out. While in the little league ranks had the opportunity to coach against a couple of our local High school coaches. They must have got tired of their kids teams getting beat, because they told me I needed to be coaching high school and helped me get started. Wouldn't trade it for the world, in fact am planning on staying with it after I retire from the Fire Service.

Kansas has a Rule 10 option, you don't have to be a teacher to coach, you can take a certification class through the State High school Athletics Assc. and coach that way. 4x4 sorry should have been 4-4 Defense.

Yes, I will graduate with my bachelors in health/pe with certification in comp social studies.. will the probably continue for my masters at Northwestern State University.. But will take internet courses so that I can either get a teaching job.. or get a student assistant job elsewhere.. In louisiana you are allowed two student assistants as long as they are enrolled fulltime in an accreditited university in their education department..

I'm going in to my 1st year coaching at a middle school. Most of the 'guru crowd and some so the Jerry Campbell crowd will know me. I will be helping out WR's and DB's so I'm trying to learn as much as possible but nothing will top getting out there and actually doing it this season. I wish I would have been good enough to play at the next level but I wasn't. I've been away from the game for a long time so I know I have to work very hard to become a good coach so any help will be appreciated.

senator blutarsky (bluto) here... Currently I am a part-time teacher/part-time administrator at a tiny school in Nebraska (almost in South Dakota). I am also the Head Football Coach and AD. I have been here 6 years... Before this I was a HC at a school of 2200 for 6 years. I couldn't stand the city, wanted to get in to admin. and wanted to get back where football was important...so here I am. We play 8 man football (we moved down a class 4 years ago). I thought I'd hate 8 man (not real football, etc., etc.)... but I have grown to really like it (kind of tough defensively though). The biggest change is that I've been a wishbone guy my whole coaching career and had to adapt to not having 4 backs. A brief outline of my FB life: age 6 began playing HS- played at a 5A school Coll- played at an NAIA school Asst. coach for 1 year before getting a HC job and learning the hard way. HC for (going on) 15 years- 2 in WY, 6 in CO, the rest in NE

I have been coaching for 15 years on the 2A and 4A levels. I have mostly coached oline but have coached DE and DT a few times. I have been a cordinator for 8 of those years. This board is pretty cool. A chance to see some real FB talk.
HS we ran multiple I and 8 man front. College was Multiple I and 4-3.
HC #1 wing I and 4-3 HC #2 One back and multiple d HC#3 Pro split Back and split HC #4 Based from a Dead T but multiple unbalanced formations. Won a ton of ballgames in 5 years with two semi finals appearances. Defense was 5-2 HC #5 Split Back Veer and multiple 4-3.
