I line up my lesson plans so the kids are working by themselves at their desk, so I can label film for the next week and finish the highlight film. During the football period the kids are getting their pregame meal etc, and I label next week's film. HC talks to the kids, shows the highlight film, get dressed so I can plug my headphones in and finalize what I'll say to my OL before we head out. Drink energy drink #1, go talk to my OL, go out for pre game, come in coaches prayer, drink energy drink #2 and kings size almond snickers, go out for first half, at halftime drink energy drink #3. Go win. Get home that night and watch the film wondering why I can't fall asleep.

I am wondering what coaches do on gameday. From wake up till bus leaves or first duty at home game. What do you all do? The last school I was at I was the head coach and taught classes 35+ plus so there was never down time, never slow time, never really any time when I wasn't dealing with an issue or doing something for Friday night. Here I am an assistant. I have no responsibility for football from last period until time bus leaves (about 2 hours). Teachers do you structure class different or do anything special in class on gameday?
I just wake up shower and get my game plan ready for 5 he game usually quiet until I get to the field and do walk thrus
