Might be an odd question but I am curious what you all feel are the best khaki pants for coaching and or teaching. Looking for pants that are comfortable yet still look professional. What pants to college staffs wear? Appreciate any advice!

Funny I was just thinking this the other night. My mother bought be a great pair of black Under Amour pants, but I didn't really like the black on black with our black coaching shirts. Need a nice tan color for this year.

I always buy golf khakis. Find the ones that are made of the micro-fiber type material. They look nice & are made for you to have some movement in (not stiff like Dockers, etc...). Look good, feel good...coach good. Right?

I wear UA kahkis-shorts and pants. After I put the first pair on, I will never go back to any other brand-unless the weather is cold.

We're Adidas so I've got a pair of their golf shorts that are really nice but a cheaper alternative that's really comfortable for teaching are Slazenger (not sure on the spelling) but they're good and cheaper then the main brands.

I'll piggy back off this...
What type of shoes does everyone prefer? What about in wet / cold weather? Does anyone have any water-proof athletic shoe that they love?

I've got some very comfortable nike golf shorts. Fit well, allow for movement.

Wore the old Spot Bilt ripple soles for decades.
Best pair I ever had was APEX that I got free coaching an All-Star game, but about a year later they got bought out.
Like mariner I have been wearing Nike Trainers for games-bad weather practices.
I used to have lower back tightness for first few of Two-a-days until I got used to wearing the ripple soles again.
One year it never went away (arthritis in lower back).
So I have been wearing New Balance Cross Trainers to practice (except when wet) ever since.

Dockers and Haggar both have a golf pant that is great for teaching and coaching. I saw some C9 from Champion golf pants and they were great.
New Balance cross trainers and cushioned running shoes are great for coaching. They also have big and wide sizes.

for shoes i only wear nikes
i wear nike free runs or free trainers
i used to wear more free runs but now prefer the trainers (more support, easier when you're on your feet all day )
I have around 10 pairs of free trainers (different kinds) and like all of them
I really recommend the 5.0 free trainers... i like the "finger trap ones" theres another design as well (oddly both are labeled nike free trainer 5.0
the finger trap comes available in just about any color you would need to match at least one of your schools colors eastbay offers them as "team shoes" and sometimes have more color options available than the nike store
NikeID even offers the option to customize them (more expensive, probably around 140 or so) and you can get them in your teams exact colors, and even put your name on them if you want
i am a nike {censored}

I can only imagine what the censored word is lol. We've got the Nike outlet down the freeway so I'm usually all Nike'd out as well. Thinking about checking out golf shoes, as DCOhio mentioned once. Are they really that much more comfortable?

Addidas Golf Pants/Shorts are more comfortable to me than Nike. I've worn both. Can't go wrong with anything Golf, but Addidas are great. Little less expensive too.

I always bought a Nike baseball coaching shoe. Not the most comfortable, but they were leather on top. I hated walking through the morning dew and having soaking wet feet by end of practice.
Edit:They also became my "go to" game shoes in October when the fields and sidelines started getting sloppy.

I have some Docker golf pants that are comfy. I really like UA's stuff, best pants ever.

If you are in the press box, do you even need to wear pants? We don't have air conditioning up there.

I absolutely love the Under Armour ones I've had the last 3 years... school I'm at now has an Adidas contract, so I will be getting a pair of those. We'll see.

For the record, you guys are just talking about the Under Armour golf pants, right? Or is there another option that I'm just missing somewhere?

Agreed on the Boombah. I have three pairs now and one I just wear on Friday nights now. Shorts? I have a pair of khaki cargo shorts I bought on clearance at Wal Mart about 8 years ago I wear only for games now. I haven't worn a pair of pants to a football game in close to 7 years. Obviously, my appearance at games isn't really that important to me.

Under Armour, Nike and Adidas all make great golf pants and shorts. Adidas don't seem to be as "stretchy" as the other two, but their crotch hasn't ripped out like the other two have in the past. I currently have an Adidas Golf belt which is good, but my favorite belt is a Nike Golf belt. Unfortunately I lost it a few years back after a playoff game.
I have a pair of Nike Turf shoes which are good when the weather is crummy. I am really interested in looking at the "Boombah" turf shoes.

Excuse the ignorance but what are Boombah shoes? I live in Canada and never heard of these but did check out their site. Product is cheap. Are they actually good quality?
Thx!

I'll second agap on Boombahs. Bomb coaching shoe. But you have to be careful. I have had to buy inserts for them as they seem to not be supportive enough for me.

Are they really that much more comfortable? I've been wearing golf shoes for about 5-6 years now. All I'll ever wear. For one, they are comfortable and two...they give a little bit of that high class (which Im far from) look, without actually wearing dress shoes (not that I ever did or would do that).

Just bought a pair of Haggar performance slacks. Very comfy. Had a black pair last year, got tan this time around. Very lightweight, wick material.
