Coaches, we will have 4 sets of eyes in the booth on friday nights. Don't want to over complicate things, but definitely want to maximize the booth as much as possible. For example want guys to have an assignment on offense, defense, and special teams. Even if it is something simple. And maybe it should be simple? What are some things you guys watch for, want guys to look for etc. All examples and any ideas would be of great help, and I thank you in advance.

A lot of times on offense one of the most powerful things you can do is have somebody telling you who made the tackle. Not the number the of the player, but what position made the tackle: the week side linebacker, strong safety, 3 tech...etc.
It's often the easiest and least complicated way to determine whether your kids are hitting their assignments properly and what your adjustments or playcalling needs are.

This is pretty much what we do. We only have 2 coaches in the box but one is always focusing on what position in making plays. If we had the priviledge of having 4 coaches in the box we would probably do: Coach #1 - Offense - What are their linemen doing? Are they stunting? Are they disciplined? Do their DE's stay home? Can we run counter? screen? Draw? Defense - what blocking schemes are they using? Are their guards getting to our linebackers? Can we use line stunts to keep them off of the linebackers? Coach #2 - Offense - What are their linebackers doing? Are our guards/tackles getting to the linebackers? What pressures/blitzes are they using? Do thier OLB's stay home? Are they weak in pass coverage? Defense - Backfield personnel changes and alignments - do the align a player to certain spot and run a specific play to him? Can we pressure QB into a bad decision? Coach #3 - Offense - What is their secondary doing? Are they pass first players? What is their primary coverage? Can we pick on any one player? (lots of teams hide players at CB). Defense - Receivers - are their receivers blocking and giving 100%? What passing concepts are they running? Can we run Cover 1 or Cover 0? Coach #4 - Offense - All Defense - who is making the play (chart position). What coverage are they running? Personnel changes. What are they doing that is stopping us? How can we counter that? Defense - chart plays. Personnel changes.
