I am the HC for our High School. Last year we ran a camp for kids in the 5-8th grades. We did it in early July, but after the 4th. Last year it was the July 8th - July 11th. Obviously school was out, and there were a handful of families on vacation. I was thinking of doing it this year during the last week of school (Like June 9th - 12th). What do you guys think would be better? What do you prefer as youth coaches? Knowing parents what do you think they would prefer? Is it worth it to do it about a month earlier (and therefore further removed from the season) so that more kids could come?
Thanks

My only question would be... How many of those kids would be busy with baseball or lacrosse or other things if school is still in session?

Thanks I believe it is best to do it right before the youth pre season starts....like within one week before. Then you have the least amount of conflict with other sports or vacations. They have their football brains in and ready to go....so take advantage of that.

Somewhere in the last two weeks before the youth preseason.
