Wait, so it's like a bat signal for users you want to notice the thread?

Ok, so I want to test the "Loch-signal" feature, so I'm going to randomly throw out lochness and see how long the fish takes to bite.

I can see this getting ugly next time someone shows up asking about Pickinswick College`s Fiddlestick technique.

Anyone know how to bookmark a thread?

I don't think you need to anymore Jerry jgordon1 ... if you look at the top of a page on the right hand side it will say "Participated" any thread you have posted in recently (I don't know the time frame it stores it for) it will say "NEW" there. you click and it will pull up a list where anyone has responded to any of your threads it will let you click on them

It's really easy with the app but really hard on the computer, or at least it was until the update that changed everything.

I like to bookmark threads to look at later..I have threads that I have bookmarked from a couple of years ago that I look at occasionally. I can alphabetize them and easily find what I want..one of the best features of the board IMO. I can still see my previous bookmarks when I go to my profile (I just checked..you can't alpha them anymore..drats!!

To bookmark click the little gear in the top right corner of a specific post and click "Select post", then go to Actions just to the left of it and select "bookmark".

You used to be able to print a thread in the older version. Can you still do this?

Does anybody else have a problem with the Quote button when replying to long messages?

Does anybody else have a problem with the Quote button when replying to long messages? I always click at the very bottom of the box - just above the 'buttons' that say "visual" / "BBCode". That ensures that my cursor will be below what I want to quote. Also, we now have a few "themes" to choose from. This black background - the one we've typically had for our entire existence is the 'default' theme. However, there are a few others available. To change, click "Profile" then "edit" and the adjustment for themes is under the "Settings" tab.

I have noticed there is no ability to move to the Next page when you get to the bottom of the current one. YOu need to scroll back to the top to go to the next page.

YOu need to scroll back to the top to go to the next page. coachd5085, what internet browser are you using? I'm using Internet Explorer and the page numbers seem to remain at the top of the page as I scroll down through a thread...like a floating menu. After a few weeks of using new board format, I have two pet peeves: 1. The lack of a "New Topics" or "New Threads" link at the top of every page....Now the only way to refresh the new topics is to return to the home page and scroll to the bottom of the page to find the link. If somebody knows of a quicker way then please inform me. I really liked how on the old board there was always a link to "New Topics" at the top of every page. 2. The inability to preview a post. Again, maybe there is a way to do this and I'm just to stupid to figure it out....if somebody knows how to preview a post, please let me know. Overall, I like a lot of the new features, but two features listed above are what I miss most from the old board format.

Still getting used to somethings, but I like how your profile notifications will tell you if someone quoted you in a thread. I know under the old format I'd lost track of a few discussions or had been quoted/asked a question by someone and didn't realize it for a while.

I may be missing something obvious, but is there a way to see the threads with the most replies under each section. You used to click on "replies" and the threads were sorted by the number of replies.

Question..... I view the site on a mobile device quite a bit. Since the upgrade I routinely get logged out and/or my viewing in desktop mode gets disabled.
This didnt happen before and doesnt happen on any other message board I visit, just Huey. Doesnt matter if I cache passwords or settings it will randomly forget everything

Ok, so I managed to figure out how to achieve what I wanted to: If you click the magnifying glass in the upper right corner of a sub forum, a thing pops up that allows you to apply filters to your search, one of which is # of replies. Example: I'm trying to bone up on pass protection, so I've set it to search for all threads in the pass protection subforum with 25+ replies that have the word 'pro' in them (pro as a word that I figured would be pretty common among all the threads in there). Now I can browse all the popular/meaningful threads in that section

Not sure what happened but for an hour or two yesterday I couldn't log on at all online... Computer, iPhone, iPad, chrome, explorer nothing
My proboard app hasn't worked since the change , but when I was able to log on after that hour or two off the proboards app began working again Which I'm happy about
