At a previous {censored} hole school they moved the goal post on my practice field OFF the field to the side so the nazi PE teacher could have her regulation soccer field for PE. When I said my field had priority he said "why do you guys need to practice kicking when you don't even score touchdowns."(he's still the AD and last year they rescheduled a BBB and he forgot to tell the head BBB coach). I don't agree with the AD of course, but I have to admit that's a pretty good line

This comment wasn't from our AD but a former principal. She told me that she would rather put money into the dance program rather than the football program because "what is a football player going to do after high school?"
We were growing our program but had a couple of players go on and play in college. As far as the dancers, being in the San Diego area, we had 3 go on to be Charger girls and several other girls from the dance program continue their skills performing lap dances at local clubs and 1 even got into the porn industry.

Well, I doubt that many of your players will ever be playing professionally, so you have to give her that one.

My first year coaching, many years ago, the AD and District Administrator called in the entire coaching staff and told us we had to "stop challenging the manhood of our athletes." Our head coach said, "That's what we're paid to do" and walked out.

A couple years ago a head coach a couple towns over who was also the AD of the school, challenged the manhood of his players after the season opener. What he said got back to the parents and he was fired before the bus got back home. I later heard what was said and it was classic but it cost him his job.

We once had a headmaster that did some rather insane stuff with the athletes at the school for years. One example, he went out the baseball bus as they were pulling out of the parking lot to head to an away game and pulled two players off the bus because they had failed tests that day. There was no rule in place that allowed for this. He just did it. The second year I was there, we hired a new head coach who they had sought for years because he was a coaching legend. He had extreme school and community support. Everyone loved him. I warned him of the headmaster's tricks in previous years so he was ready for him.
Right before the first big ball game of the season, during the middle of the week, the headmaster called our HC aside and told him to be prepared to play without our strong tackle and our running back this week, that they had not been performing well in the classroom and he was going to hold them out of the game. To this our HC responded "you better shine up your coaching shoes." We never heard another peep out of that headmaster!

These are GREAT to read as an AD myself. Some ADs out there, you can easily tell the school hired someone with a pulse who would be a yes man to the admin! Which never works!
