3 students and myself worked on this a few weeks ago.
Imagine a school where disciplining your classmates was the job of your middle linebackers........
Enjoy.

Pretty good coach... but still not as good as the original:

The original was the inspiration obviously. A few weeks ago the activities director asked my class if we wanted to show the school some of our work. I told them..."no, but we'll make you something". LOL Tanner is going to be a stud (if he isn't already). Led the state of California in tackles for a sophomore in 2010. Had a legitimate 152 tackles as a junior this past season. Lawd knows what he'll do as a senior. Last summer ran a laser time 4.52. Will play next year at 6'2" or 6'3" 225-230. And since his is....coming back for another year. I am already thinking sequel. The buzz for the video has been great. Please pass that video around to your friends and colleagues. I made sure I got clearance from the administration to do the video. In fact, the people in the video are the real people. Principal Blake is our principal. I'm the goofy one with the pen in his mouth. Nobody got hurt in the video...except for Tanner. On the part where he throws the kid off the car...he takes the kids elbow to his eye...I thought he was going to get a black eye the way that thing looked. Fun day filming that thing.

I love the clip coach... we have had our 7th, 8th, and 9th graders in our 5:30 AM strength and conditioning program the last 2 weeks and have put together a video that we are trying to use to stir some more interest in the program. We have about 60 kids coming each day with 109 that we have seen at least once. So many of them have never lifted before, you guys will get a kick out of the one with 10lb weights on both sides and he is still struggling, but we are always looking to get some motivation for the kids to find friends to join the program:
Let me know what you guys think!

At least the kids with 10 pound weights is there putting in work. Hopefully he's pushing himself. You have really nice facilities.

Hopefully Brad doesn't get mad that I hijacked his thread... but compared to the facilities around here, we are in need of an overhaul. Our facility is very large and has a lot of potential, but most of the bars are bent and clips don't fit, etc... One of my long-term projects is to purchase 10 of the custom power-stations and completely redo all of our dumb-bells and free-weights.

Very nice. You would cringe at our facility, but here in NC, it isn't a priority. One of the many reasons I'd like to move on eventually. Power stations our nice. In our fieldhouse all we have are a couple of benches and that's really about it. I don't know how we're expected to compete when we're so limited.
We shot a video similar to Brad's back when I was in high school. It was played at the orientation for incoming freshman. It was awesome.

cq - no problem jacking. Just share the video with your friends and colleagues. blueswarm - not sure about Reno this year. Maybe, but no guarantees. How about this one today fellas? I was in a meeting today and one of the ladies in the meeting told me about another female teacher who said that our video PROMOTED BULLYING. 1. I went to admin ahead of time and ASKED SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THIS. I gave them the script, showed them the original Terry Tate videos, etc. They approved. 2. Admin. was in the video. Don't get me started on the Wussification of America. How about the fact that I received about 30 emails from faculty saying it was the funniest thing they had ever seen? Glad admin is in my corner about this.

I love both videos. Great stuff. And quality is not much off of what "professional" types use:

House,
From one video teacher to another, that video was outstanding! Give yourself and your students props. I am forwarding it to our principal(a former D-2 player himself), he is going to love it! It made my day. In fact, we have a stud LB here that would be great in a video like that...I think I might have to steal it for my Advanced TV Class. Hope you don't mind.

Lou - steal away! Show the video to anyone and everyone. Somebody even grabbed and stuck it into their profile on Tosh.O. I'll let me students know about the props they are receiving. Thanks again.

Sorry to bump this, but the "real" Tanner Vallejo just received his first D1 offer from the U. of Arizona. The UofA staff saw the Campus LB video and made their decision based off that (just kidding). They did see it and thought it was funny. I'm guessing Tanner will get most Pac-12's to offer him. He's a flat out beast. Google his Hudl videos to see him really lay the wood to people.
