Had the funniest training ever tonight. I'm training for our state team and we started doing offensive run throughs. We have a practice/end of year fun game next Saturday with just 4 trainings. So anyways, with very little time it was assumed everyone was on the same page. So were running plays and the coach calls a trap with me as pulling guard against a 5 tech. So I pull, head along Los looking for my trap man and realize the other tackle has kicked him out already. So I head upfield after the the tackles block but the play is pretty much over by the (the rb headed inside) So I walk off scratching my head with wondering why that happened and the oc comes up telling me I have to lead through the gap (lead block) After some correction and a bit of a laugh (a 1st year player from my normal team piped up and said thats not a trap)
Just had a bit of a chuckle especially after all the times I've read that there's no such thing as universal terminology in football.
