The thread I started about the practice times got me thinking about some other aspects of practice organization.
To those of you whose kids have to practice both sides of the ball and your coaches have to coach both sides of the ball how do you structure your practices to make sure that your kids get ample amount of work on both sides of the ball?
Assuming you play on Friday Night, do you have specific days as Offense/Defense days where that is all that you work on? Or do you try and practice both aspects in the same day everyday?

We do offense on Tuesday and defense on Wednesday. On offensive days we have a short (10 minute) defensive period which we usually use for tackling stations because we want to emphasize the importance of tackling. On defensive days the offense has 10 minutes during which the HC/OC usually walks through correcting errors and emphasizing certain points from Tueday. Thursdays are walk-throughs and the defense has a period usually for adjustments.

We emphasize defense on Monday and Wednesday, offense on Tuesday, review and polish on Thursday. However we will do some offense on Monday and Wednesday, and some defense on Tuesday.
For example, here's what we did yesterday (Tuesday):
15 minutes Specialties: LBers-DBs 7-on-7 vs. opponents pass patts; DL = Sled, goal line charge, pass rush
15 minutes Warmup: Team Defense vs. oppoonents' Gadgets
20 minutes Offensive Individual
15 minutes Offensive Kicking Game
15 minutes Group Offense: Backs-Receivers 7-on-7 vs. opponents' cover(s); line assignments vs. opponents' front(s)
25 minutes Team Offense 1st and 10 +40 in
5 minutes Team Offense - Goalline
20 minutes Team Defense 1st and 10 -40 in
5 minutes Team Defense - Goalline
5 minutes 4th Quarter (conditioning)
