Started at 18 (Middle School).
OC the second year, DC & ST the third year (new HC). I was DC for 6 years (through 5 HC changes), until I got my first teaching job. I was a position coach this first year of teaching at my new home, but I have been tagged as DC for next season, my tenth overall.
I am now 27, if you don't feel like doing the math.

LOL You mean you don't like how I've combined Sean Connery's 2 finest cinematic moments in my avatar? You should see the movie that pic is from... Seriously though, thanks for the thoughtful post and words of encouragement. In all seriousness your next employer could be on this board, an administrator for example. I've never understood that sort of thinking, which may be why I'm chronically unemployed or underemployed. Do bosses or employers think the people they supervise or hire have no existence outside the job, hence no sense of humor? Why should the people we do business with think any less of us once they learn anything about our outside interests or activities? Why is it that something you wouldn't think ill of a stranger -- i.e. a goofy choice of avatar -- becomes a minus when it's of someone you do business with? It's not like you'd be rubbing the boss's face in it, just something the boss might discover that you'd have no other reason to hide. I wonder the same thing about why people would be embarrassed by baby pictures of themselves naked -- not flaunted by themselves, but just shown routinely by some relative. It's something we can fairly well assume just about all of us have, so why is the mere confirmation of such a thing thought to be a negative? Robert in the Bronx

IF I am looking for assistant coaches I am not going to consider anyone who I find to be WEIRD or BIZZARE. Thats just me. Im a pretty average Joe I think. Sometimes an Avatar is enough to make me think someone is kinda nuts. signalzero had one of the worst avatars I can remember.

Although I have never hired a coach I have done numerous hiring's in the job market. I see where a avatar can make or break you, but I think it is more of if it is you or Sean Connery. If I see you in a comprising situation I might do a more extensive interview process, eventhough the photo you have I more then likly have done it. Now if it is just a goofy pic I would not even think twice about it. I like a since of humor!
